ZOOM!
Pros: AIR! at full blast it really does almost whine like a hairdryer, not as loud, but similar. Wow does it move air like a pro. PWM is obviously a pro, I used one of these to replace the fan on my CPU cooler, and wow, the thing doesnt even work to keep it in the 20's. Nice, neutral, white led's. I dont know why, but I like plain white. It feels clean... Did I mention its a mini tornado maker?
Cons: If youre using this as a case fan, you might want to consider a fan controller to calm these beasts down when youre not saving the world. Its not "too" loud, especially not for me, but I can see how normal people could find it annoying. I enjoy it, the sound of my computer parts not burning into cinders. its a lovely sound.
Overall Review: No, seriously tho, these are awesome fans. Static pressure and actual force of the air is just impressive. Again ill state these would make an excellent choice for CPU coolers, Id love to see these push/pull a big radiator.
Boo!
Pros: Its cheap, it uses pods (which I find superior), its nifty handy and all of that... Oh, if you manage to find the tea pods, this machine isnt so bad for tea. The pressurized system is not necessary for a decent tea in a tea-pod. Just thought id mention that as a pro.
Cons: But the coffee is terrible. Instead of the machine using pressure to force hot water through the coffee pod, the water just kinda soaks through the pod, making a weak lame cup of coffee. I bought this on sale thinking I could get a quick fix until I could get a better one, and honestly, I wasted my money. This type of item is what gave "pods" the stigma of making bad coffee.
Overall Review: Disappointed I just went to senseos website and got the pressurized system, the deluxe was out of stock. The regular senseo machine, I think, makes some of the best coffee in the world. You can get oversized pods now in many blends that make a fantastic cup of coffee and even has a foamy top. Summation: I would not reccomend this coffee maker to anyone unless they like really weak coffee.
Dremel 4000 - Beastly.
Pros: Best of the dremel rotary tools (wired). Price has become rather reasonable. One of the most useful tools a homeowner/hobbyist can buy, it can perform like a "Big" tool with the purchase of the right accessory. The only difference is, this works on speed and not power. So far I've used mine for everything from modding my dishwasher and computer case, rabbeting and routing grooves and gaps in wood, polishing... everything, and a number of other uses. Definately made my money back on this thing.
Cons: Use the tool Luke... not a con, but a con that other people will list. Even though you can "fake" it with this guy, dont pretend you had a high horsepower router, drill, or whatever youre using it for. Patience is the lock, and speed is the key to open it. Take your time, make several passes, dont just jam it in there and get mad when it seizes up or burns out. Its like shaving, take your time and do it right or youll end up bleeding all over the place. Also, I bought this somewhere else, for more money. Boooooo me. I should have known better.
Overall Review: This is the best set to buy (personally) because after doing all the math, buying the one with all of the accessories only saves you $10-15 bucks, and honestly theyre not the accessories I wanted, so I got the small kit and bought what I needed. This is a fun tool, you can do so much with it if youre a creative type. Modding your case? This is what you want, cut holes, make scoops, cut and grind things to fit, what fun! I would also like to add in lastly that yes, there are better systems out there, but I dont want to spend that kind of money on that little of a performance gain. I also see dremel as a rather useful proprietary system, as in, I like the brand, their parts, and how they go together. That doesnt mean you cant buy aftermarket pieces, just be wary.
Pleasant Suprise!
Pros: By golly gee willikers batman! A one click solution to cloning your hard discs! If youre saavy you can get this pretty cheap on sale, and I must say it was worth the 10 dollars I paid for it! Before I ordered it, I went to the companys support site and was greeted with intelligence! Chat support is a godsend, he answered my questions in minutes. There is also a large knowlegebase that I ignored for the convenience of a direct answer. Made cloning my old SSD boot drive to my new SSD boot drive was beyond easy. One click, on the fly, and even extended the partition, everything, automatically. I went from being frustrated to being incredibly happy.
Cons: As almost always, the con is that it isnt free. But see other words..
Overall Review: my superold cloning software became out of date, and wouldnt properly do what I wanted to with ease, so I started looking for options. After trying out several freeware options, some with viruses, some that destroyed the boot sectors, I looked into what newegg had to offer and saw this one sale. Another wonderful newegg deal! Its as easy as it can be, install the program, click the parameters for source and destination, and click clone! it does everything automatically. The provided disc even boots to let you do all of this in a gui outside of windows. I chose to do it in windows, because.. I could! This is just good stuff. There are other options available on the disc that I havent even looked at yet, and despite those things this is an excellent purchase. saves headaches, trouble, and time. I would Definately reccomend this product to anyone that needs it simply on the ease of use if nothing else. I would also like to mention that its unlikely you will need the pro version.
Maybe
Pros: Its getting there, despite being highly regarded after a successful beta, I feel like many that the game was at best 3/4's of the way done. Months later now the game is showing promise after several radical game changes and content injections.
Cons: Terrible at release. I determined the game "broken" in a sense, and just kind of.. hung around.. now things are much better, and I think most of what they wanted at release has been implemented, like the group finder and other pretty standard items.
Overall Review: So far, a grand total of a "meh" judgement. Great fixes, and despite a strange appeal and "playability" I find this ones on the fences still for me. Alot of beginners, and alot of "seconders" that finally left things like asherons call (that was still going?!) and everquest, and the like. Strange mixture of people that play this game. Good and bad thing there.
Follow Up.
Pros: Follow Up to previous review, still the best cooler to price Ive yet to find, and its even cheaper than what I bought it. Really does cool your ram effectively.
Cons: One flaw I found in this setup is the one reason im following up. Beware when taking this off of a CPU. the pins you bolt to, prevent you from twisting the CPU to break its thermal paste grip. You can very easily rip the processor out while trying to remove this cooler, and you risk damaging your CPU pins in the process. I reccomend you twist as much as you can, and if needed, wedge a very slim plastic butterknife or such object in there to try and wedge in there or provide leverage. Despite this flaw, I still reccomend this cooler despite it. I simply love bolting the cooler down instead of clipping it to a socket.
Overall Review: To remedy this, my suggestion is to have the pins you bolt to, float in their placement, or can even be removed entirely to assist in the removal of the cooler from a CPU. That simple implementation would remedy this coolers one little flaw, and make it even more awesome. Again, I still reccomend this cooler if you know what youre getting into.
