Refurb Asus ROG PG348Q
Pros: - $650 off retail price - No scratches or scuffs, so it looks brand new - 3440 x 1440 w/ 100 Hz (with G-sync) - Amazing quality - No dead pixels - No noticeable back-light bleed
Cons: - No display port cable. Not a big issue
Overall Review: - The total weight of this item is 24.69 lbs. w/ stand. I wasn't able to find the separate weights for the monitor or the stand alone. So here it is. The monitor stand is very heavy, it probably weighs about 7-8 lbs on it's own. Making the monitor weight 16-17 lbs. I haven't accurately measured it on a scale, but I hope this helps anyone who was wondering.
Corsair MP510 = Very Fast
Pros: - Easy to install - Cheaper than other offerings - slightly faster for gaming than some other m.2 SSD's
Cons: None
Overall Review: Prices are still higher than I'd like,, but I wont knock an egg for that.
Phanteks Makes Quality Products
Pros: - Low noise at high RPMs - Whisper quiet at approx. 550 - 1000 RPM - Black - goes with everything - Carbon gray rubber anti-vibration pads look nice - Sleeved cable
Cons: - The cable isn't fully sleeved, it stops maybe about a 1/4 inch before the 4-pin connector. Not a big deal but the white on the cable does stand out
Overall Review: - These look great, and at the price I much prefer these over Corsair's expensive offerings - I ordered 4 of them and all of them worked perfectly out of the box. - Installing these with Phantek's Halos looks amazing!
NZXT Kraken X62 280mm AIO
Pros: - Black paint on radiator is persistent, I've accidentally brushed it against many objects and it has no sign of wear. - Keeps temps cool - RGB lighting on the PUMP/waterblock are very nice. Like very very nice. - The 2 included 140mm fans feel like quality and they perform as such. - Long braided tubing, allows for more options when it comes to position of the radiator.
Cons: - The price is a bit higher because of the RGB lighting on the PUMP/waterblock
Overall Review: - This performs much better than the X52 and it doesn't cost that much more.
STRAFE RGB - Cherry MX Red
Pros: - Beautiful design with rugged construction - LEDs are vibrant
Cons: - Underneath the keys is a white surface to aid in reflecting the lights on the RGB LEDs. This creates a more vibrant effect. Although it does stand out a bit. This isn't really a con to me, but it may be to some.
Overall Review: - Bought this refurbished at a nice discount and it was well worth it
ASUS ROG Strix GTX 1080 Ti OC edition
Pros: Where to begin... - Monotone color that matches any build - Bright and full customization of RGB LEDs, 3 zones - Quiet. It idles at 35 C in my Enthoo Evolv TG at 0 RPM - AN UTTER BEAST IN TERMS OF PERFORMANCE! OH MY LORD! - DVI connector on the back - The OC edition I bought was 20$ more than the non-OC. Considering this goes for $1099.99, $20 is nothing. - OC very well and runs stable with cool temps. - Two and a half slot card. This might be a con to some with ITX cases, but it looks beefier and I obviously prefer that look.
Cons: - Two and half slot for some with smaller cases (but in this scenario you should consider a blower style card anyway imo)
Overall Review: I bought the ASUS ROG Strix 1070 OC edition on June of 2016 and it was wonderful, but it left me with a need for more power at higher resolutions at ultra settings. The change to a 1080 Ti was well worth it and I think it may have been one of the better decisions I've ever made.
Noctua Cooler
