Great Video, Poor Gaming

GIGABYTE Radeon HD 4350 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Ready Graphics Card GV-R435OC-512I
GIGABYTE Radeon HD 4350 512MB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Ready Graphics Card GV-R435OC-512I

Pros: The card comes with the low profile adapter, something that more expensive cards want to charge you at least $5 for. The operation is very quiet and it doesn't occupy two slots.

Cons: The gaming preformance is very poor, with a P4 2.8 with 2GB ram it got 2000 on the 3dmark 06 test, something that laptops get.

Overall Review: The blueray (rip) preformance is good and the quality output is fantasic, better then the Nvidia 8600GT that I origionally had. This system went into a Dell GX280 SFF case and turned what was a pretty useless PC into a great media center box (use XBMC) when paired with a WiFi-G card.

Very Disappointing

PLANAR PX2230MW(997-5983-00) 21.5" USB Optical Optical FHD WideScreen Multi-Touch LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1 Built-in Speakers
PLANAR PX2230MW(997-5983-00) 21.5" USB Optical Optical FHD WideScreen Multi-Touch LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 1000:1 Built-in Speakers

Pros: Touch input works well. Optical touch screens don't require a physical 'tap' just to get almost to the screen. Full HD

Cons: Accuracy is very bad, clicking radio buttons is an exercise in frustration. VGA input is very flawed, vertical lines from two laptops using two cables. DVI shows no such distortion. Horrible viewing angles in portrait mode, colors disappear at 25 degrees. Office lighting causes glare and very bad reflections in glass.

Overall Review: This was intended to demonstrate, on a small scale, how touch screens displays can work in a retail setting. This product fails in every way, small viewing angle, low precision, and flawed input I gave this two stars because in a dark enviorment in landscape the display is decent

Quiet, good airflow, great packaging

TITAN TFD-8010H12Z/DW(RB) Dual-Way Fan
TITAN TFD-8010H12Z/DW(RB) Dual-Way Fan

Pros: The Fan is very, very quiet. Inaudiable from about 6 inches away using the included foam stand. The fan is very thin and blows about as much air as inexpensive 80x80x25mm fans.

Cons: The CFM isn't as good as some other fans that are 10mm in depth but these fans are also a bit quieter

Overall Review: This is a pretty awesome product, runs off USB & 12V, the startup voltage for many fans is 7V, this starts off of 5V. The foam padding can be used to sound dampening on the case, so combine this with some aluminum mesh filters and you have a silent, sealed system

Good motherboard

ECS G41T-M(2.0) LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
ECS G41T-M(2.0) LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Everything works well and is well documented

Cons: The northbridge runs a bit hot, but this may be due to the huge BSEL mod I did to the CPU.

Overall Review: Good motherboard for the price (under 30).

Fantastic Value

macally PHR-250CC Aluminum 2.5" IDE USB & 1394 External Enclosure

Pros: Powered over 6pin-6pin firewire cable. Powered over USB cable as well.

Cons: None yet

Overall Review: I have yet to test it with my 120GB drive but working with the 20GB drive I found it worked fantastically.
