Just good ram.

Pros: Honestly it just works. Also have a cl40 kit that's running just as good at least on my system. Gave the old kit to a friend but he couldn't get his 13900k to go past 5200. Then again, he doesn't know much about any of that. He's more of a software and networking guy while I'm more of the hardware technician dude. Had this specific kit for a year, no hangups. Has xmp or expo profiles (I'm running a 7950x, so being able to run xmp was odd for me lol) but both profiles work great as well. Some benching applications prefer xmp though. Actual speed won't really matter between the two. Standard ram instal, nothing new under the sun.
Cons: Kinda wish you could adjust the brightness a little. I don't have a tinted case window as you can see, so it's a little bright unless you're OK with nightlights/just get used to it.
Overall Review: For decent rgb ram that works on both amd/Intel systems, this is a pretty solid choice. If you find this at a good price I'd say get it unless you can find a kit with lower cl timings. 5 eggs for a working product with no drama.
A very underrated and under represented gem.

Pros: This cpu is fast, and chews through any consumer or workstation use you throw at it. Especially with a good undervolt/overclock, the 13th and 14th gen intel chips cannot compete with the workhorse aspect of this cpu period. They beat this cpu by margins of error in single core use only. That said, this cpu will deliver any experience you throw at and expect from it. Games like a champ, crunches compute like a champ, and gives a snappy performance. This is perfect for a high end workstation/1440p gaming build. It's very easy to tune in bios, and not very complicated to figure out how to play with it's settings. I'd recommend the 'actually hardcore overclocking' channel on YouTube. He has a full guide on how to tune this chip for best efficiency/operation.
Cons: Runs very hot. You might wanna consider an ihs lapping tool, and you WILL NEED at least a 360 rad aio cooler if you want to use this chip towards it's potential. Don't use air or tower coolers, they just aren't enough. Second con is this chip can be very finicky depending on your ram and motherboard choice. I use the asrock pg lighting b650 and it has been a perfect fit for a lower tiered board. Kingston ram works extremely well. I'd recommend the sweets sweetspot ram of 32 gigs of 6000mt/s ram (2x16gb sticks) at the lowest cas available. It can go officially to 6400, but this processor really likes the config I shared.
Overall Review: Theres not much reviews or talk about this cpu other than it exists, gn, hm, let and all them kinda ignored it in favor of the x3d variant, but I assure you from personal use the 7950x beats it's x3d variant by a good amount in everything if you tune it right. At stock the x3d just has a slight 5-10% boost in frames during 1080p bottlenecked comparisons. It lowers to less than 5% while being beaten in worktlststion use by well over 20% by the regular x variant. It just delivers and performs very well. If you need a "does everything well" pc this is definitely one of THE best options. So far mine has given me less headaches over any of my friends who went intel or own the 13900k/14900ks. Pretty much ran flawlessly out of the box. Note that now ypu can find this cpu for around $450 on other sites as of 11/19/2024 for both holiday sales, and amd rushing out their old stock to exchange for the new 9000 skus. So keep an eye out. The 7950x will be relevant for many years to come.
Refurbished review for this model that sold before it.

Pros: Actually, I could not distinguish any damage or anything that would indicate any kind of previous hangup. Just a little bit of dings on the through-fan port towards the end of the card that looked like the head of an AIO lightly fell on it. Other then that it smelled like manufacturing oil and boxes. So far this thing performs as new. Ive benchmarked it after optimizing my build to be sure. This thing holds to quality what id expect after paying such a heafty sum. Gigabyte gaurentee seal, 4 years warranty, and at the time was selling at msrp. You did deliver a quality product and as much a deal for that time in the market so I can thank you guys for that. Just like you've all heard, it plays everything at any resolutions at max settings. This is a moster gaming GPU. This particular model isn't as high of a base clock over founders as other manufacturers, but there is overclocking headroom. Ive played BF 2042 for hours with +215 to core and +1400 to memory with absolutely no stutters, crashes, blue or black screens, etc. and im only getting over 60 c degrees after setting fan curve. This thing has power, it gives you tinkering room, its quiet (at least for me), and it actually just works. Ive been having a good O'l time just playing with the GPU separately just seeing what all it can do. ^^^^but all of that is highly unnecessary. Out of the box, no overclocking or knowhow of any of that stuff, this is a great gpu. If you too paid to get a 4000's card or are certian you must right now, you won't be dissatisfied with its quality or performance. If I got a refurbished model in basically brand new condition, then an actual brand new one can only be better.
Cons: Just the msrp scandal that is mostly Nvidia's fault. I can't blame Gigabyte for that.
Overall Review: If you absolutely must upgrade right now and there is now way you can wait a few months to check with markets, this is actually a quality buy. Not a good one because 4000's series gpus are all ambiently expensive, but these guys consistantly sell this model lower than the current competition as of typing this. At least from any store I know that I trust. As for any remarks on the manufacturer or the seller(s): I'm liking the performance and quality of this gpu, but everyone has the same complaint about the heatsink design.... I feel like this was a missed opportunity by all manufacturers to maybe design their own. Change the shape around some so it isn't taking up as much length, or at least attempt to make it around a 3080/3090 size... because that's really been delaying allot of people's builds, and removing form factor customization all around. Now as for newegg, I know about the rma issues and service problems you've had previously... that said I was greeted with actually really gracious support from you guys on my own endevor building my own rig, friends rig, and some other parts for other systems I had that more than a few times I mistakenly ordered the wrong parts and needed to replace them. You guys seem to really have cracked down on bad customer support, so please keep that up! You all except Nvidia get A's and B's. they get a D. I would give them an F but the hardware is indeed powerful, its the focal point of all our critisizms after all. If either purely by trolling the market or the fact they can stir up this much controversy over price arrangements, there's something impressive about that in its own right, Even though it is wrong. I really hope they don't take that as a compliment though.
