Perfect motherboard for me

EVGA 122-CK-NF66-T1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i Ultra ATX Intel Motherboard
EVGA 122-CK-NF66-T1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i Ultra ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: I used this motherboard on my first ever build and it worked great. I was freaking out because I bought an OEM hard drive which needed SATA cables that I didn't have. I was very happy to see that these cables came with the motherboard. Very slick cables for hard drives and cd drives. My system is an E6420 with 2 Gigs of 800mhz ram with a 7900GS MSI video card with 512 Ram. This motherboard only has one pci-e slot, but if you wanted to run sli, you may as well just get an 8800GTX or something for the same price as two video cards. I run BF2 on full graphics with no problems or lag. Very smooth at all times, and that game demands a lot from your computer so sli isn't that big of a deal right now. The FSB on this has enough speed to carry a Quad core or Core 2 Extreme so upgrading isn't a problem.

Cons: Only one pci-e slot but this it's not a big deal if you aren't going to run 2 video cards.

Pros: Used it to install my E6420. Haven't seen the CPU over 40 degrees yet. Works great, and because it does I'm considering overclocking my CPU, not because I need to but because I can.

Cons: None

Amazing price for amazing products

G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ
G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model F2-6400CL5D-2GBNQ

Pros: This ram is amazing. 2 GB of 800 mhz ram for under 100 bucks? I have yet to see the ram overloaded so 2 GB for me is enough. Although I'm running Windows XP so who knows what will happen if I get Vista. But for now it looks great and works even better.

Cons: none

Amazing

Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 - Core 2 Duo Conroe Dual-Core 2.13 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E6420
Intel Core 2 Duo E6420 - Core 2 Duo Conroe Dual-Core 2.13 GHz LGA 775 65W Processor - BX80557E6420

Pros: After using an old 2.6 GHZ Pentium celeron processor, this is amazing. Not only is the FSB speed amazing but the processor itself can do so much without even trying. I haven't overclocked it but I am considering it, especially since I haven't seen the CPU go above 40 degrees since I have installed it. I have heard of overclocking these processors to over 3 GHZ without any problems, so we'll see. The heatsink and fan installed without a problem, I also used arctic silver to keep it cool.

Cons: none

No problems

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Hard drive is fast and has enough room to install just about anything that I'd want to, and still have half of the hard drive left. I had to format the drive 3 times, not due to the hard drive but mistakes that I made. Not the drive's fault though, works great.

Cons: Comes with no cables, so hopefully your motherboard came with everything you need to hook it up as mine did. But thats what you get for buying OEM parts.

Great

Pros: Great case, very roomy. Many locations to mount the cd/dvd drive and hard drives. Wasn't cramped when installing motherboard. Case fans keep everything very very cool, I haven't seen my E6420 go above 40 degrees yet. The temp. gauges work also. The lights, fans, and clear side case make it look very nice.

Cons: Even though the lights make the case look great in the day time, when its night time the blue lights make it look like a smurf exploded in my room. I need to find a way to shut them off as an alternative to shutting my computer down at night.
