Good upgrade

Pros: I bought this dual core to plop into my Asus A8v Deluxe motherboard. Have been running a single core Athlon 64 3000+ for the past few years along w/1 gig of ram. Wanted something that could work a little faster and this X2 4200+ was the answer. I don't game much but I've noticed significant improvement (read HUGE improvement) in things like video encoding and photo/graphics manipulation. Even boot time and opening applications is much quicker as compared to the 3000+. I am really pleased with the speed for the price.
Cons: They are discontinuing socket 939 CPU's
Overall Review: Also coupled this CPU with an additional gig of RAM and a new video card. Don't forget to install the XP patch. And use the SMP kernel if running Ubuntu. This is a great processor. Am using my stock AMD CPU fan and temps run ~ 39 idle. Haven't seen it go any higher than 45 when chugging out some video... Darn thing is FAST.
Good Deal

Pros: Great deal on basic DDR. Am using in a P4 system at 2700 speeds. Saving quite a bit of $$$ buying this product from Newegg as opposed to buying a similar product from any of the overpriced big retailers down the street or at the mall.
Cons: This memory doesn't make breakfast or give massages... :(
Overall Review: Speedy delivery to Western Pennsylvania w/standard UPS shipping - about 2 business days. Paid via PayPal - no problems. Thanks Newegg.
Decent little player

Pros: This mp3 player has served me well for the past several months. Gets quite a bit of life out of a single AAA battery - I'm guessing ~ 16 hours or so. File transfer is relatively easy and quick via USB 2. Works under Linux and Windows (see cons for details on that).
Cons: I have noticed that on some systems Windows in not able to see the files uploaded via Linux and vice - versa (using XP Pro and Ubuntu 7.04) However, my old SUSE 9.0 system can see the files on this player uploaded by XP... Other than that lack of interoperability - can't really complain.
Overall Review: Holds quite a few .mp3's and almost double the # of .wma files. Sound is good, has an equalizer and FM to boot. Also has a pretty accurate battery meter. Would recomend...
All three thumbs up

Pros: Holds almost 1000 shots on my old Canon G3 @ 4 megapixles each. - 1 gig CF card at 80X for less than three Abraham's from a reputable name - what more can you say?
Cons: nada'
Overall Review: As always, excellent Newegg price, shipping and arrived 1 day ahead of scheduled UPS time. Very satisfied with Newegg (again).
Nifty Gadget - speed okay

Pros: The ability to plug this SD card right into a USB port is great... The write speed of this card is okay - I was expecting a little more speed from this manufacturer...
Cons: I have a competitor's 80x 1 GB card which seems to allow me to shoot pictures just as fast on my Nikon D50 DSLR that costs around fifteen bucks less - but doesn't plug directly into a USB port...
Overall Review: The price of this card including shipping was half the price at my local "blue and yellow" themed retailer... Why shop there when Newegg can cut the price in half? Good deal again Newegg !
Rplacement for EM, FG & FG-20

Pros: Fast, Great image quality!, Loads of lenses, Many manual controls, Well built, Great features/quality for the price, Great battery life, Lightweight...
Cons: Not as good as the D200... But $1,000.00 cheaper. 6.1 megapixles not 8 like the Canon Rebel xt - but ~$300.00 cheaper...
Overall Review: This camera and the D70s model remind me SO MUCH of the digital versions of old EM, FG & FG-20 Nikon cameras - well built, great image quality and reliable. I am very satisfied w/my D50 - contemplated a while between the D50 + D70 - figured I'd use the extra money on lenses... All in all - a great product from Nikon - excellent photos - no question about that...
