aww the bragging rights :)
Pros: upgrading from 2 580's in SLI to 2 780's in SLI... Playing Dishonored at 64x CSAA with no lag what so ever at 2560x1440... The new cards are significantly quieter than the 580's and impressively faster!
Cons: those cards cost 50% more than the previous high end NVidia 680 cards... most likely a measure of the sales draught in the PC market.
somewhat of a frog prince...
Pros: board layout is decent, seems to boot fine
Cons: I know RAID users are not the majority, however, I have been unable to install Windows 7 64 bit using 2 120 GB OCZ SSD drives... both work fine, identical firmware, and taken separately, Windows will install fine. I called EVGA yesterday and was told "I will get back to you within 2 hours with an answer, we will setup a similar configuration to test this" and it is the next day no response from EVGA... I don't like to bash on this company, have had great experience with their products until this board... Some issues with the BIOS as well, cannot reset CMOS unless you remove the battery even though there are 2 reset switches on the board... Seems unfinished, could be great, I hope I don't have to RMA this...
