Pros: Burns blazingly fast (42X and faster from an external HD). Lightscribe is sweet, and if you have the patience, then it is definetely something you will enjoy. The software that it comes with is okay to my standards (Nero).

Cons: The only problems I have had are with the Nero software that it comes with. When trying to burn a CD at top speed, it will never finish the whole CD. With Roxio, this is not a problem. Also, and I'm not sure if this is just a standard thing with any burning software, when trying to burn a bootable DVD with an OS on it, the .iso file MUST be less than 2 gigs of info. Otherwise Nero will tell you it is too large. You can still however burn it as a disc image just fine.

Overall Review: The drive itself is fantastic. The software it comes with could use a little work.

Pros: Windows identified the driver right away. Looks great, fits the BenQ 1655 perfectly as it should, and have had no real problems with it.

Cons: The front lid does not close all the way when you push the button for the tray to go back into the burner. It just sticks out an extra millimeter or two, but if you just lightly push on it, it goes back into place fine.

Overall Review: Although it was pretty straightforward to me how to set it up, a bit more of an instruction guide could be helpful to some people (mostly for hooking up the wires for the lights on the sides).
