Pros: Have owned this for over 1 yr. +12V Runs at 11.99, 3.3V running at 3.28. The modular design is great for reducing case clutter. Cable a long enough. This unit is installed in a Antec 902. It had been in a Antec 900. Have plenty of power for the following:
Asus P5QL Pro, Asus Xonar DX, (2) WD RE3 drives, Core 2 8400, CD/DVD Burner, Cosair DDR2 8500 (8GB), Corsair H50 water cooler, Antec 902 fans, ATI Radeon 4850.
Pros: I own the 900 and 1200. This has all the features of the 1200 less 3 bays. Cable management is superior to the 900. The all black interior finishes the case. The 902 has room for 8 cards not 7. This extra slot creates a space between the motherboard and power supply. It's very useful if you have a card in the last slot of the motherboard.
There are slots for cables to enter/exit, one on the bottom near the power supply, two on the side, and one at the top. you should be able to run all you cables through the back of the case. Unlike the 900 the back panel area is wider and easily accomidates all routed cables. Like the 1200 all 902 fans can be controlled from outside the case. The 902 has fan filters on the front and side panel fans.
The airflow in this case will keep your components cool. Core 2 8400 88F, WD drives 72F, Radeon 4870 102F, MB 86F. For a few extrabucks BUY the 902.
I have been a customer of newegg for over 7 yrs. They are my number one choice
Pros: Routine install. Works like a charm. Updated drivers from web without a problem. Installed this a a HTPC. Great value. Vista Desktop score 5.9. Gaming and Graphics 5.3
Pros: Easy install of HD and optical drive with pressure fit side rails. Good ventilation. Plenty of space for fans. I used only the top fan which came with the case. Front mounting of full ATX power supply is handy.
Overall Review: Do not install interface cards until you mount power supply. Even a small ethernet card interfered with the power supply install. Not a big deal just an FYI.
Cons: Regret buying this case. I won't use the power supply. It is too cheap. The case is a challenge to assemble (this was about the 15th pc I have built). The optical drive is extremely difficult to line up. The case fit and finish is marginal.
Overall Review: If you going to build a new PC spend the money on the case. I will be ordering a new one as this case has been a big disapointment. My fault...you get what you pay for.
Pros: Price, front panel and top are easily removed. It is a cheap functional case.
Cons: Mounting disk drive is a challenge. Throw away the 500 watt power supply that comes with the case. It weighs about 1/3 of a $100 power supply. I have used Corsair, Antec, and Enermax power supplies and would not waist good components on a cheap supply.
Pros: Just works. Very stable. Plugged this into Sony sound bar,,,,it was a plug and play.
Overall Review: HTPC with 64 bit Vista, 4 GB memory, HDMI, Hauppauge digital tuner, Core 2. Onboard video 4.6 Vista rating.
Pros: This is plug and play. Insert the receiver in a USB port, press the button, press the FN key and it's up and running. This is a laptop type keyboard i.e. it has an integrated mouse pad. I ordered this for my new HTPC. Excellent range.
Pros: Well made. Very nice that the black exterior is carried to the inside. My drives run at 74 degrees. The case is quiet (using only supplied front and rear fans at lowest setting). The bottom mounted power supply is a big plus.
Pros: Bought this in combo with 64 bit Vista Home Premium. Great combo price and very good drive warranty.
Pros: Had trouble with 4 rail 500 watt powering (2) RAID 1 arrays, system disk, optical drive, video card, 2 gb memory, and 3.0 P4. This single rail system worked like a charm. Great warranty.
Pros: Well packaged and constructed. Case can be taken apart very easily. The front panel is heavy aluminum. Plenty of room.
Pros: A dual rail 550 Watt system could not power my 9 disk drive P4 server. Dual RAID 0/1 system with one system disk. The single rail is the best way to assure power. Plenty of connectors.
Pros: Overclocks to 690 gpu and 1190 memory stable. Went in without issue Vista HP 64 bit. Replaced a EVGA 256-P2-N761-TR GeForce 8600 GTS 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 with this card. Vista index went from 5.6 to 5.9
Overall Review: This card is wide (cooling fan). It killed my neighboring PCI Express slot (ASUS P5QL Pro).
Pros: This is the 3rd one I've ordered. They have been solid. The 24 pin motherboard and ATX power cable are long enough to reach my ASUS P5QL Pro connectors when bottom mounted in ANTEC 900 and 1200 cases. Modular cable design cleans up cable clutter.
Overall Review: Newegg is the quickest and best priced vendor. I have been buying from them for years. Customer reviews are an excellent resource.
Pros: Assembled computer (64bit Vista Home Premium)...E7300, Geil DDR2 8500 (4GB), WD RE3 500GB, EVGA 256-P2 GeForce 8600, ASUS Xonar DX, and IDE CD/DVD burner. System installed and has been stable for over a month. This is my sixth ASUS board. I have found them to be stable with good documentation. The BIOS udate utility (update from the O/S is very easy to use. The six SATA ports are more than enough. Good mix of old and new PCI slots. I am not an overclocker, but this board through the BIOS can be tweaked at all levels (FSB, CPU and memory voltages etc).
Overall Review: Newegg customer for years....my only source for components.
Pros: Replaced DDR2 667 with this memory. Vista index for memory went from 5.1 to 5.9. Applications open noticeably faster.
Overall Review: I continue to be a loyal newegg customer. Communication, order processing, shipping, and web site product information are excellent.
Pros: Installed on new low end pc - dual core, 4 ddr2 pc5300, gb memory, wd re3 500gb hd, EVGA 256-P2-N761-TR GeForce 8600 GTS 256MB, ASUS P5QL PRO. Very fast and stable. I have been using xp pro for over 6 yrs and do prefer this os. Vista does require more processing power, but at the price of memory, processors, and video cards it doesn't matter.
Overall Review: kudos to newegg....great prices...fast delivery....great info on website, and excellent picture library
Pros: Plenty of connectors. This supply allows you to use only the connectors you need. Cleans up clutter. This is installed in a Antec 1200 (power supply mounted on the bottom). The ATX power is long enough to comfortabily reach the motherboard plugs.
Pros: Fast quiet. I have used WD drives for more than 5 yrs. Quality is excellent
Pros: Great air flow. Have all fans at the lowest setting very quiet. The space behind the motherboard offers excellent cable management. Have 5 drives installed. At the low fan settings WD drives run between 71 and 74 degrees. If you're looking for a quiet, well cooled case this is it.
Overall Review: The fan controls on the outside of the case are an improvement over the 900. It's useful to be able to turn fans up or down without opening.
Newegg logistics have no rival.
Pros: Researched this case before buying. There is no better case on the market at this price point. Between air flow, quietness, build quality, power supply placement, drive capacity, there is no better. I own a 900 and a Sonata III. They are both GREAT cases, but this one is is larger and has more capacity. I wanted quiet and good cooling. The 1200 fit the bill.
Overall Review: If you want weight this is the case for you. It is heavy and very sturdy. To anyone questioning the placement of the power supply...don't. I will never buy another case with a top mounted power supply.
I have been a newegg customer for over 5 yrs. I will only buy from them. Their prices, delivery, communication, and pictures of products has no rival. There is not website you can go and get reviews, product info, pictures and EXCELLENT prices!
Pros: Excellent product to adapt your older 20 pin motherboard to a newer 24 pin power supply
Pros: Excellent airflow. Five disk drives run 6 degrees cooler than my an older Chieftec case. The larger fans and the huge 200mm top fan make this case whisper quiet. Excellent build quality. I will never buy another case that doesn't have a bottom mount power supply. The 3 speed fans allow you to keep down fan noise, but still move air.
Pros: Well built. Modular design reduced clutter. This one went into an Antec 900 case (power supply on bottom of case). Cables plenty long enough. Very pleased with quality. Newegg delivery excellent. Prices always the best.
