lasted a long time

HP 35A LaserJet Toner Cartridge - Black
HP 35A LaserJet Toner Cartridge - Black

Pros: I replaced this unit 11/10/2011. I use it daily in a small office. It finally began having white streaks down the middle of in on 09/10/2012. This lasted way longer than the "refill" or "reconditioned" cartridge I used before this. The refill only lasted 3 monhts.

Cons: This CB435A H.P. cartridge is only used in the following HP printers: LJ P1005 and P1006. Too bad HP has discontinued both of these. Once they decide to quit making the cartridges, your unit will be trash.

Most Critical Review

Hours reading forums on install - documentation poor

SUPERMICRO MBD-C2SBA+II-O LGA 775 Intel G33 ATX Intel Motherboard
SUPERMICRO MBD-C2SBA+II-O LGA 775 Intel G33 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: On Board Raid 1, 0, 5, 10, also on board Gigabit LAN, graphics and sound. Because I do not have enough room to write the "cons" I will start here: Very tricky if you want to run SATA raid and SATA optical drive. You have to set up the RAID configuration in the bios before you install the OS. Windows will not recognize your SATA optical drive that you want to use to install the OS across your SATA HDD array. I had to set up the SATA HDD array in the BIOS, then install the OS from a PATA optical drive, then remove the PATA optical drive and plug and play the SATA optical drive. would recommend the following procedure for installing the drivers for the ITE8212 (actually 8211F on revision 1.2) and the ICH9R "Intel Matrix" raid drivers.

Cons: There is a review written by Kevin on 07/11/08 that says in part: The solution: You have to create your own custom txtsetup.oem file by merging the 2 txtsetup.oem files together as 1 master txtsetup.oem file. Then you copy the files from both disks to a single disk and copy your newly merged txtsetup.oem. You can then put both drivers on a single disk, and then you can add both the IT and the ich9r driver from a single floppy during the "hit F6 key" driver process in Windows. ONLY if you add the ichr9 first and then the IT8212 driver does the Windows setup complete without blue screening. It is ridiculous that I had to make my own txtsetup.OEM to prevent Windows from blue screening. If you google "ich9r supermicro blue screen", you will find some forum posts related to the same issue.

Overall Review: I did not do the combined drivers on one floppy and only got my ICH9R drivers loaded. As a resuly, after windows reboots after doing the F6 installation of the Raid drivers, windows never asked me for my ITE8211F drivers, and now there is an "unknown device" in control panel and it won't accept the ITE 8211F drivers. My setup: Intel E7300 2.66 Wolfdale, G.Skill 2 Gig 800 x 2 DDR2; 4 x SATA Seagate 250G 7200RPM w/ 16 mb cache in RAID 5; Coolermaster 690 NVIDIA edition ATX case; Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Heatsink/fan.

Won't fit 2009 BMW 535xi

REIN AUTOMOTIVE CHE0634 Water Hose - Water Pump to Engine block fits BMW 11-53-7-560-530
REIN AUTOMOTIVE CHE0634 Water Hose - Water Pump to Engine block fits BMW 11-53-7-560-530

Pros: Newegg still acceptable to great service to west coast.

Cons: hose is 2 inches too short. Warning. Please don't cut off your existing rubber piece as this one will be too short. Then you will have to tear into the right side of the engine bay to replace the bigger piece that this rubber hose fits on the end of.

Overall Review: Can't recommend. This kit is marketed as replacing making the non-servicable rubber hose with permanent flat clip connection to metal section of cooling pipe to engine block. This rubber piece is on the water pump connected side of the metal and rubber coolant piece with is BMW 11-53-7-560-530. You'll end up having to replace that whole assembly if this hose piece is too short and you cut off the existing clip like the instructions say because this product is too short to fit my 2009 535xi BMW with N54 engine and E60 chassis.

Rosewill RTCA-CB435A Black Toner Replaces HP 35A CB435A
Rosewill RTCA-CB435A Black Toner Replaces HP 35A CB435A

Pros: Cheap Price compared to name brand manufacturer replacement toner cartridge.

Cons: Poor print qualiity straight out of the box - never gets better. Save your money and you've already paid for half the costs of a good quality HP brand cartridge (HP35A / CB435H) at around $67.99 full retail, or less if you can find it on sale. Produces washed out and thin copies that you can barely read.

Overall Review: I am having to replace this very poor quality cartridge after two months. Yes I have shaked the cartridge side to side like they say to do. - No improvement in print quality. It's not my machine.

what does this do?

NCH Software Audio Essentials Suite
NCH Software Audio Essentials Suite

Pros: This company makes a product called "Switch Sound File Converter" that among other things, offers a way to convert audio wav files to mp3 files. wav files take up alot more room than mp3 files.

Cons: Does any one know if this product converts to mp3's from wav and wma files? Their converter program costs $20.00 to get the downloaded version, but if my hasrd drive crashes, then what. I need a retail CD.

Is it really worth it?

Intuit Turbotax Business TY2010 15mm Amaray DVD
Intuit Turbotax Business TY2010 15mm Amaray DVD

Pros: Pros each year become less and less so I will say "marginal"

Cons: You know, I've used turbo tax every year since 2002 for my business taxes and I've noticed that every year without exception, the top self business tax software product from Intuit becomes less and less helpful and more and more exensive. For instance - you can't export from Quicken your checkbook infromation without the extra expense of upgrading Quicken. Also, the helpful video tutorials along the way in turbotax no longer exist.

Overall Review: Why should we continue to support Intuit by using Turbotax when we get less and less every year for a product that provides less and less every year? This year I think I'll try Tax Cut by H & R Block. I can't import my information from Quicken without upgrading every year anyway. Why be a fool every year for Intuit?
