Pretty lovely

Pros: I purchased this computer for light-medium gaming, and it's working very well. It plays all of the Source Engine games without a problem, and it loads them very quickly. The Core i7 is very practical and easy to work with, and the ATI card is satisfactory. Very much worth the price. Although it's only got 4 instead of 8 gigs of RAM, it's working just fine, although I still plan to upgrade that, soon. I've had no problems with the screen, speakers, or anything like that, so I'm very satisfied.

Cons: The USB placement isn't where I would like it, as if you have something in the port, it gets in the way of the mouse, if the mouse is too close. Granted, you could just move your computer away, it's still not convenient. The optical drive feels a little flimsy when it's out, like it could break off if you put a CD in too hard, but it hasn't yet, so it's not worth taking off an egg.

Overall Review: I enjoy the aesthetics of the machine, as well as the over all feel and weight. It's eye candy and practical. I enjoy some of the software that came preinstalled, but resorted to getting rid of VariFace.

Works well for low internet speeds

TP-LINK SafeStream TL-ER6020 Gigabit Dual-WAN VPN Router 2 x 10/100/1000Mbps WAN Ports 2 x 10/100/1000Mbps LAN Ports
TP-LINK SafeStream TL-ER6020 Gigabit Dual-WAN VPN Router 2 x 10/100/1000Mbps WAN Ports 2 x 10/100/1000Mbps LAN Ports

Pros: Good interface reliable operation VPN is a nice bonus! This is a good day to day router, with decent features.

Cons: Processor speed. This thing sucks when trying to operate heave amounts of traffic. Even with just one PC, it was pegging out when running a speed test, and couldn't get above 150Mbps, when my ISP supplies more than double that.

Overall Review: If you're a light user, this is a nice device. In fact, probably has more than what you need. If you're a heavy user, this is going to disappoint you when it comes to handling load. 3 Eggs because it's good for everything except handling a high-speed network.

Better than Expected

HP B Grade Notebooks Intel Core i5 3rd Gen 3320M (2.60GHz) 4GB Memory 250 - 320 GB HDD 14.0" Windows 7 Professional 8470p
HP B Grade Notebooks Intel Core i5 3rd Gen 3320M (2.60GHz) 4GB Memory 250 - 320 GB HDD 14.0" Windows 7 Professional 8470p

Pros: -Processor is very swift, especially considering price and age of this PC. -Sturdy build, so I'm not afraid of damage while commuting or traveling. -almost no noticeable wear/tear (may be the model I got specifically, unsure). -stays fairly cool; wrist rest is always comfortable, ventilation is adequate. The PC appears to have been well cleaned prior to shipping so that there was no dust blocking the vent. -Keys are all very clean and have good tactile response. -Encrypting drive is a breeze.

Cons: - The hard drive it comes with is fine for size, but feels sluggish. I've upgraded this with a SSD and boot/loading times are tremendous. -Having only 4 gigs of RAM is a bit burdensome, but it's very easy to replace internals on the computer. I've upgraded to 8 gigs of faster RAM, and it with the SSD it loads and runs as well as my brand new MSI laptops. -Weight is noticeable. Not a problem for me, per se, but this may affect your decision if you want a lighter machine. This weight is a good trade-off for the ruggedness of the machine.

Overall Review: REGARDING CONS: This is an older model laptop, and B Grade to boot. I have no real complaints considering these aspects. The two things I did not like were very easy to upgrade, and the CPU that the computer has is tremendous- the RAM and HDD were the bottleneck. When I said that it runs as well as my MSI laptop, this is true for programming, browsing, office work (Word, Excel, SSMS), but NOT for gaming, obviously. This computer does not have dedicated graphics, as it was not made for that purpose. If you need a work, school, or general purpose laptop on a budget, I would strongly recommend this PC.

Plays well with others

MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G LE
MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G LE

Pros: -High quality graphics -Stock cooler adequate even while running games long and at highest settings. -Easy Install and usage -Software user friendly -Reasonable Price This card is wonderful for intense gaming- it keeps itself cool, has plenty of power to go around, has more than a couple video ports which are being put to good use. The first thing I did was feed my BF4 addiction after installing this, and I was more than pleased. The game aside, the performance on the part of the GPU was spectacular for anti-aliasing, spitting out 85~120fps at 1920x1080 on ultra. Getting a second one to SLI just because I can, maybe do some recording/streaming. These can handle it.

Cons: It's hardly a con, but the card is huge. Like, a deck. As should be expected, but it's in good part because of the cooler that's on it, which is easily a huge pro considering the job that it does. No cons as of yet!
