Pros: I recently purchased an Alienware 17. Windows 10 with USB3. This external dvd reader/writer works flawlessly on the USB3 port. No drivers needed. Needs only the 1 USB3 connector. Reads and writes. I took a chance that Windows 10 would work with this so I am hopeful others with Windows 10 and USB3 will benefit from my experiment.

Cons: none so far. I needed only DVD and CD access and, of course, this does not address the BluRay issue. Just does what I need for my data backup.

Pros: I am taking a moment to write this as I have found other reviews so helpful. I have owned the Viewsonic VA2626wm for some weeks now. Strengths; zero dead pixels, bright, reasonably wide view angle, no ghosting with the action games I have tried, logical and easily accesed controls, very good colors after getting latest drivers. It has been a pleasure for work and games. Very reasonable price.

Cons: The 2007 Nvidea driver that was on my machine, combined with the driver on the Viewsonic CD that came with the monitor, gave very dull colors to start. So bad that I was forced to download the latest drivers from both Nvidea and Viewsonic. A small bit of work for great results.
