Great card, but overkill

EVGA GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 512-P2-N773-AR
EVGA GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 SLI Support Graphics Card 512-P2-N773-AR

Pros: This is a really nice card (evga never disappoints). The included Quake is a nice touch.

Cons: I wish I'd done a little more homework before purchasing - turns out that 512MB is overkill for this card. The 256MB is just right.

Overall Review: Next time I'll read a few more reviews before purchasing, but this is still a pretty good card.

Great adapter, but...

SYBA SD-U1IRDA-NM IrDA Infrared Adapter USB 1.1 2.4K-115.2Kbps(SIR mode) 576K-1.152Mbps(MIR mode) 4Mbps(FIR mode) Wireless Data Rates
SYBA SD-U1IRDA-NM IrDA Infrared Adapter USB 1.1 2.4K-115.2Kbps(SIR mode) 576K-1.152Mbps(MIR mode) 4Mbps(FIR mode) Wireless Data Rates

Pros: Great USB to IR adapter in a small package.

Cons: Speed was an issue for me.

Overall Review: I bought this primarily to use for syncing my Sony TH55 PDA. Unfortuantely, I'll probably end just stashing it in a drawer somewhere because it is MUCH slower than syncing via USB. Personally, I'd rather just carry the sync cable when I'm needing to sync up at home or at work. My average sync time using USB is about 15-20 seconds if I'm not installing applications, and about 5-10 minutes using the IR link.

Not bad, but I hoped for more

Naki DS Lite Swing-Out Grip Case
Naki DS Lite Swing-Out Grip Case

Pros: It does provide nice platform that makes it easier to grip during long gaming sessions. There are cutouts for (almost) everything, which is also nice.

Cons: The grip isn't as ergonomic as I had expected it to be, but that's not too bad because if the grip was any larger it wouldn't be as portable. That's one of my other complaints - the system isn't quite as pocketable as a bare DS is, but I can live with that. My biggest complaint is not having anywhere to put the stylus. Unless I missed something, you're stuck using their stylus holder and stowing it in the DS or case.

Overall Review: The problems people have had with the DS not being secured is somewhat fixable if you have a GBA cart handy. It sticks out just enough to hold the DS in place.

Excellent full tower, wiring may be a trick

Thermaltake Armor Series VA8003BWS Black Full Tower Case w/ 25CM Fan
Thermaltake Armor Series VA8003BWS Black Full Tower Case w/ 25CM Fan

Pros: I splurged on this case for my new build and I'm very glad I did. I love the case layout and the extra room I have to work with. I was stuck between this case and CoolerMaster's Stacker, but went with the Armor because of the price and the 25cm fan. The fan makes a GREAT addition to the case, and I'd recommend spending the extra $$ over the standard armor case.

Cons: It's heavy, but I knew that going in. I don't plan on going anywhere with it too often, so not a problem. If you want light (for a price) go with the aluminum version of this case. Wire routing proved to be a challenge due to the size of the case (why can't motherboard manufacturers include longer SATA cables?!?). The wings on the front panel are a waste, but they come off easily.

Overall Review: I didn't purchase this from Newegg; I priced around and went with a lower priced online retailer. Big mistake. The ordering process was a pain, and I ended up having to cancel my order and re-submit it 3 times before they shipped it. The little bit of money that I saved wasn't worth the hassle. Next time I'll just order everything from here.

Simple, great supply

CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-520HX 520 W ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-520HX 520 W ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

Pros: I've heard great things about Corsair's supplies, and so far I'm a fan. The modular cable implementation is great and looks like they designed it to prevent the problems that can plague other modular supplies. The fan is very quiet, and aesthetically the supply doesn't disappoint. If you're not running the biggest power- hungry beast of a machine, this is a great supply.

Cons: I'm still up in the air on a modular supply (it's an extra point of failure in power delivery), but so far I have no complaints.

Easy to configure, no problems so far

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 Rev. 2.0 LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Ultra Durable II Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS4 Rev. 2.0 LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Ultra Durable II Intel Motherboard

Pros: The board layout is great and building my system with the DS4 was a breeze. Configuration and setup was easy too, and I especially liked the SATA driver disk utilities (I'm easily impressed, though ;) ).

Cons: Only the usual gripes against motherboard manufacturers - the manual, while better than most, could've used a little more detail.

Overall Review: I'd definitely recommend this board to anyone that wants to build a respectable box that has room to grow.
