Pros: Not enough
Cons: Why does Microsoft feel compelled to completely change the customer interface? Why do we want to waist time learning a completely new system, when the new system interface is NOT better?
Overall Review: I was going to build a new Microsoft based computer, but after my experience trying to learn the "new" operating system, and after reading all the other negative reviews, I will be changing to an iMac. And I'll keep my older computers with Windows 7 until they die.
Pros: No problems to this point.
The included Cyberlink Power DVD player worked great for me with Blu-Ray disk. Win 7 64 bit.
Have not burned a Blu-ray disk yet.
Cons: No problems yet
Pros: none yet
Cons: First, I have NOT spent a lot of time yet with this program. The little time I did spend was very disappointing. Software appeared cumbersome to use with rudimentary results. I felt I'd be better served with a pad and pencil.
Pros: Works great. SATA III My backup has completed to this drive without incident. It will hold multiple backups which was my goal.
ATTO Benchmark transfer rates:
Read 153 MB/sec
Write 151 MB/sec
Faster than my Western Digital SATA III drive (120 GB/sec)
Cons: 3TB became 2.72TB after initializing disk. GPT partitioning scheme used.
Overall Review: Using Windows 7 - 64. Windows asked which partitioning scheme when I was initializing disk thru Windows Admin Tools ; MBR or GPT?? For windows to use all 3TB as 1 partition I am using GPT. GPT will eventually become the new standard. Do not use GPT if is this will be your system drive. This is my backup drive.
I did NOT use the suggested download software from Paragon for this drive. I did add the Windows optional update for drives Larger than 2TB drives.
Pros: WAS what I needed
Cons: Dead On Arrival
Pros: I stayed with Linksys since I was replacing old "b" Linksys router. Similar type set up for this router.
Overall Review: My old Linksys 802.11b bombed after many years and reviews on "N" wireless routers seemed to show more problems. Decided to just go with proven 802.11g technology and maybe save some headaches.
Pros: Using as a Ethernet Adapter with no problems. I was concerned if signal would be strong enough to reach other side of house but NO problem.
I like small size, usage options, no set up problems.
Overall Review: Bought this instead of Linksys brand. Glad I did. (I use a linksys WRT54GL router.)
Pros: After "formating" and making new 1.0TB hard drive "active" (using this docking station), the new drive works great (WD1001FALS). I am using esata with excellent transfer rates.
Using HD Tach the sequential read speeds were 95 MB/s for the first 600GB. 88.1 average for all 1.0TB. This is faster than the 2 drives mounted in my computer.
Cons: None, very happy with docking station after one week of use.
Overall Review: I have not tried the USB conection, esata is so much faster.
Pros: Using to transfer images from Canon SD950 camera. It works!
Pros: Write speed is fast enough for video on Canon SD950 IS. After 1 week I have had no problems with this memory card keeping up with camera. Tested a 10 minute video, recorded with no problem.
Overall Review: I was hesitant to use "cheaper" memory in camera. So far so good.
Pros: Upgraded Dell Inspiron 6000 notebook from 512 to this 2GB. Notebook was purchased in 2004 with XP. Computer is much more responsive, (quicker). 2GB of memory in 2004 was not affordable!
Overall Review: This memory upgrade will enable me to keep this notebook for more years. I was getting impatient on its slow response time before upgrade.
Pros: Images are very clear. Performs as advertised. Frame looks good. Purchased for grandmother. 8 inch picture size helps her see the picture. No problems after one week. Intent is to leave frame always on.
Cons: Be sure to turn off demo mode in setup or it may ocasionally start up when frame is turned on. Good brightness from side angle. However brightness is reduced when viewed with frame tilted backward on stand. But, frame stand has an adjustment to tilt frame near upright so this is not a problem.
Overall Review: Goal was to have a large enough picture, clear pictures, and automatic slide show start up so Grandmother will not have a problem. Mission accomplished. 4x3 ratio a must for most digital pictures. Why have a 16x9 frame "convert" your pictures?
Pros: Great size for bedroom. Has all the features I need. ATSC tuner built in works great with cheap antenna for local HD stations. HD cable looks great on TV also. Easy to switch between the above two inputs using remote.
Cons: no complaints
Pros: Works great in my Verizon LG VX8300
Overall Review: Use BitPim (Google for it) and USB cable to fully use card and phone.
Pros: Imaged drive with Acronis True Image 10. This new system drive has worked great for the past week. Faster than my Western Digital WD3200KS. See speeds below using HD Tach.
Cons: none yet
Overall Review: HD Tach speed results for the drive: Random Access 14.4ms; Avg Read 67.7MB/s (89MB/s to 40MB/s); Burst Speed 221MB/s
Pros: Looked like a good deal. Have had good luck with WD drives in past.
Cons: Drive failed after a few days in external encloser. Reformated and tried again internally using sata2. Drive corrupted and died again after a few days.
Pros: It was able to image an old eide notebook drive to a larger notebook drive. Did this in my desktop with ide cable and notebook cable adapters.
Cons: It took 5 imaging tries to get windows xp to finally boot in laptop. No changes in set up. I just finally got lucky. I tried other software first but this one finally got it done. There are so many factors during this imaging that it may not be a software problem at all.
Pros: Works fine but at sata1.
Cons: Had to place a jumper on my WD5000 drive to force sata1. (See Western Digital web site) System would hang while trying sata2 until I did this.
Thanks to the other posts for this advice.
Pros: Works just fine. The old 30 gig drive was full. My notebook has new life.
Overall Review: Imaging new drive from old drive took a few tries to get it right. Connected both in my desktop using IDE cable and notebook cable adapters. After 5 image tries it suddenly decided to boot in laptop. Go figure.
Pros: I have purchased 4 of these over the past 2 years. Why buy a floppy without memory card capability? All working great.
Overall Review: Be sure you have a long enough floppy cable; and an open internal usb block (for the memory card slots.)
Pros: Works just great! Dell C521 had no parallel port and this does the trick.
Overall Review: Port was needed for a Dongle. (Software anti piracy PIA) Worked great after I figured out I needed to download a driver for the Dongle.
Pros: It works. Great price. Local store no longer carried floppy cables!
Overall Review: Yes boot can "slide", but is not a problem.
Pros: Great reception. I have 2 of these, both are working great.
Cons: Updated driver and software from web site. Could not find driver by itself. Older software "Monitor" needed to be romoved through Control Panel "add or remove programs."
Overall Review: I would not hesitate to order again.
Pros: Dell C521 only has sata connection for optical drive. (to my surprise) This drive works great and was cost competitive especially for sata. No problems.
Pros: Works great. I wanted an inexpensive flat computer monitor and tv.
Cons: It is not top of the line picture but it is perfect for my needs. Its "good enough."
