Reliable, Good HDD
Pros: HDD that fits in a laptop with the ATA-6 conection. PATA for those who are not sure. It has triple the amount of drive space my old drive did for about 1/4 the price! gotta love that!
Cons: none noted.
Overall Review: It's a HDD for a laptop, does its job and is pretty quiet.
Great card at a reasonable power to price ratio
Pros: Massive improvement in the primary way I use this card, compiling videos. Old machine would take anywhere from 30 to 45 mins to compile a 7-8 min video. Just compiled a 20min video on this new machine yesterday in half the time it would take to compile a video half the size before. It is not the top of line crazy speed, but a massive improvement and if needed you can oc this card as well. Nice if you need it.
Cons: Everything is working as I expected and I have not had any glitches so far.
Overall Review: Very happy with the card, It is an ASUS product so I am confident in the company and their support if anything should pop up in the future. If you are looking for a good card on the lower end of the gaming performance level this is a great option and will not cost as much as your build to get it.
It is RAM, it works n the Strix MOBO with out issues.
Pros: Booted on first try with this installed in the Strix 300 series mobo. Went into the bios and put it on XMP2 profile and hit restart and everything posted. Stable OC on the RAM and with 32 gigs the system is running very smooth.
Cons: Have not found any yet.
Overall Review: Decided to get some lights because I have a all glass mid-ATX tower to put it in. Solid RAM and have not had any issues in the initial build or for the 3 weeks I have had it up and running. OC'd without any issues and have not had any heat issues. Good solid stuff.
So far so good.
Pros: Waiting on a special cooling set up for this and then will see how far I can push this chip. On air cooler right now and have a very stable oc of 4.7GHZ, heat is staying down at this oc in the 38-41C range. When I compile videos it does get up to 56c but not bad for air cooling. Will update the review once I get the exotic cooling solution in and see if I can get this chip to scream.
Cons: Have not seen any yet other than the expense.
Overall Review: Match it up with a good board, good cooling, and a GPU that can keep up and you should have a very nice rig for gaming or video editing. Love the set up so far. The box this replaced was taking about 30 mins to compile a 6 min 1080p MP4 file. Just compiled a 20 min video yesterday on this machine in 15 mins.
Surprisingly good cooler
Pros: Is keeping a 9900K unlocked CPU nice and cool at a 4.75 OC. Very surprised after hearing how this chip was a volcano...
Cons: So Far none
Overall Review: If you just want an air cooler to get your new build up while you figure out what type of cooling you want to install for your stupid oc's then this will do the job well and even allow you to OC a little on just an air cooler.
PSU from Corsair
Pros: Corsair It is fully modular Will last forever if past experience is any indication.
Cons: Found none, expect to find none in the next decade or so.
Overall Review: It is a Corsair PSU, it is going to work and work well. I am barely touching the potential of this PSU with a 9900k CPU, 2060 ASUS GPU OC'd, 32 Gigs of Ram, and 3 2.5 SSD's and 1 M2 PCIe 1tb SSD. I have plenty of power to expand if needed.
