Thermaltake W0106RU 700 W Complies with ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS 12V version SLI Certified 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
Thermaltake W0106RU 700 W Complies with ATX 12V 2.2 & EPS 12V version SLI Certified 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: This thing works great. It's practically silent and runs cool. It is very efficient and SLI certified. The modular cables work out very nicely. It has a 4+4pin 12V connection for compatibility with either 4pin or 8pin boards. Also, there is an 8pin PCI-E connector, which will support future video cards. The 3-year warranty isn't bad either. The PSU and cable sleeves look very nice.

Cons: None

Overall Review: This worked perfectly with my Antec P182 case. I had heard that many power supplies do not have cables long enough for the P180/182 series, and I am glad to have gotten this one. I kind of wish that the 8pin PCI-E cable was detachable, but it is not.

Very Nice

Pros: This is my first real build and my first experience with overclocking, and it has been great. The information provided by EVGA in the manual and on their website has been very helpful. This board's features alone get it 5 eggs. It is very stable, though I have not tried anything major yet.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I am currently running Vista 64 with an E6550 at 2.8GHz, 4GB of DDR2 800 RAM, and a 512MB EVGA 8600 GTS. I love it.

Top Notch Case

Antec P182 Gun Metal Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec P182 Gun Metal Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: This was my first complete build, and, contrary to some other reviews, it was easy for me to install everything in this case. The cable management is very nice; it keeps the inside clean and open for good airflow and easy upgrades/repairs. However, it does take some time to figure out how to run the cables best. The case is very sturdy, and the sound dampening is fantastic. The three 120mm fans, with their external speed control, keep it nice and cool. The door swings 270 degrees to stay out of the way if you need constant access to the drive bays. Removable, washable filters keep the dust bunnies away. Finally, it is very handsome.

Cons: These are not cons for me, but be wary of these if they do not fit what you are looking for. This case is rather heavy, and moving it around too much can get old. The PSU cage can be a very snug tough to fit around the power supply (especially with the rubber strips, which prevent any vibration). There is no removable motherboard tray. The price is a bit high, though I took advantage of a rebate and a free shipping offer in the newegg.com newsletter.
