don't let the term "value" fool you!
Comments: I was skeptical about how much of a difference there could possibly be between onboard audio and a PCI card. I was using my mobo's AC '97 audio and was becoming frustrated with its poor performance, so I decided to finally bite the bullet and get an Audigy. Worth every penny. Sounds incredible on my good ol' Logitech Z-560's, if you get one of these cards, get a speaker system to match, because the clarity and definition deserves a proper outlet!
Do not buy, this thing is a piece of garbage
Pros: Fits easily into my closet since I can't use it anymore
Cons: Where do I begin... low signal output, frequent disconnects, causes my computer to stutter when I connect to it, overall very disappointing piece of hardware, guess I shouldn't have expected much for the price.
Overall Review: Save yourself hours of frustration, do not purchase this hunk of junk!
Big Boost
Comments: I decided to invest in a processor that would give me a little more power than my old 1.7 Ghz Celeron. My motherboard has the 800 Mhz FSB so this processor looked like the clear choice, especially when it went on sale. Let me just say that it was worth every penny. Everything runs better, faster, and smoother. The HT seems to help with multi-tasking quite a bit. So if you're looking for a workhorse processor with plenty of power for tomorrow's application, this is definitely one I'd recommend
Awesome Card at Great Value
Comments: I was debating between this and the 9800 pro, and I ultimately decided this was the better choice not only because I was on a budget, but this card was more suited to my needs. I upgraded from an old PCI Geforce4 MX 420 (don't laugh :P) Wow. The difference in everything is amazing. Far Cry runs without a hitch, C&C Generals runs beautifully. This card is perfect for someone who wants to play the newest games, but doesn't want to shell out an arm and a leg for it. Great service from NewEgg as usual, I don't shop from anyone else for my computer.
