Pros: Fast, Plug and Play, Windows recognized it instantly. Very compact for a 1 Tb. No on/off switch but not needed as HD spins down when not in use, and shuts off when system is shut down. Excellent price

Cons: First drive was defective; however I received fast efficient service from Newegg (RMA-Exchange). Comes formatted in Fat32, and has some (IMHO) worthless "trial" software loaded on the drive.

Overall Review: WD suggests "if" the consumer wants to switch to NTFS, to simply use "quick format" (WD KB ID #107 support.wdc.com). Quick Format took less than 60 seconds, thorough takes about 6-7 hours.

Cons: Had to RMA after approximately 23 hours of use, no noise, no indication it was going bad, just quit. Of course it happened "after" I partitioned it and loaded all my data, I would have preferred DOA.

Overall Review: Excellent service from Newegg handling the RMA, couldn't ask for better service.

Pros: Product received less than 24 hours after I ordered it. I did not use expedited service. Product as advertised.

Pros: Very nice unit, relatively quiet. Windows 7 (64 bit) found driver without a problem. Firmware updates can be found at Sony-Optiarc.us website, not at Sony USA's site. Came with 100 firmware, 103 is the most current.

Cons: None really, requires 3rd party software to access Blu-Ray discs

Overall Review: Good price, excellent service, fast shipping.
