Pros: For the price this offers a hell of a bang for a buck... Asrock Extreme4 Crossfire 6850's 2500k Antec 300 case w/ stock fans Results vs stock Stock Intel Cooler - 4ghz @ 1.304v using turbo 4.0 on mb @ 100% load for 5 mins in 71F room temp core 1 - 78 core 2 - 84 core 3 - 86 core 4 - 83 Loki 92mm - 4ghz @ 1.304v using turbo 4.0 on mb @ 100% load for 5 mins in 71F room temp core 1 = 53 core 2 = 55 core 3 = 53 core 4 = 51 The results speak for themselves, for the $24.99 this cost when I grabbed I can't explain.. I am now running @ 4.8ghz with manual settings @ 1.36 volts.. it barely runs over 60.. I was able to boot and run @ ~5.1ghz w/ 1.45v using this cooler reliably @ near 70 degrees.. but that is too hot for my liking, and not worth it. Bracketry is sturdy, installs easy, rubber fan mounts are very stretchable, so you can easily install both sides of the fan once mounted.. Fan moves a good bit of air for 92mm as well.
Cons: Not quite as effective as some of the higher end coolers, bu
Nice laptop with dedicated gpu
Pros: - Price (For $559, this was one of the best laptops in the range at the time) - Dedicated GPU - Screen Size is nice for Netflix and Games - Battery life is great considering the screen size, gpu, etc.
Cons: - Only 4GB of ram - Bezel, Lid, etc. feels a bit flimsy - Lower Resolution
Overall Review: Purchased this for my wife, who is using it to play WOW. It is getting roughly 35-40fps @ the default high settings with no overclock. FMy wife moved from Intel GMA on a core 2 duo laptop to this, and it was a tremendous upgrade. The sound is much louder and fuller than her previous laptop, and this thing can actually play her games. After selling her old laptop, and adding ~$320, the benefit was huge and it was a no-brainer. I would recommend this laptop to someone for a budget gaming laptop, but isn't a stickler for resolution and ultra high settings.
Pros: I purchased with the sale that gave the keyboard & the Tablet for $399.. Just an incredible deal. - The battery life is.. incredible, I played over an hour on it, and it was at 94% when I got done. - Docking Station has USB ports, and I can plug my flash drives into it, I have not yet tried my 1tb passport, but have heard it will work - Front facing camera is much better than Ipad 2 that I used previously - Overall web browsing experience is top notch
Cons: - Docking station could use guide pins. This is more of a critique of the add-on, rather than the tablet.. but it's worth mentioning here if you intend to buy this so you can get the keyboard dock. I should mention that it doesn't bother me, but my wife is always worried she will damage it when plugging in the keyboard.
Overall Review: I'm going to compare it to the Ipad 2 here, because that is what I have to configure at work, and have the most experience with: - Front facing camera is much better than Ipad for Video Chat - Battery life is comparable to Ipad, but with the docking station blows it away - SD for extra storage is great - USB for extra storage is also great, because I have an external HD - Highly customizable when compared to the Ipad - Browsing experience is much better with Flash
Pros: Everything is pro on this one. I bought it about 5 months ago, and haven't had a lick of trouble out of it. I don't get freezes, or anything.. It's just lightning fast. This is easily one of the best upgrades I ever made... Maps load instantly in WoW, Rift, and I'm always one of the first ones in instances, etc.
Cons: None now.. there were some firmware issues back in the day, but I haven't any problems... and most I know that did have problems have long been solved.
Not bad for the money
Pros: - Size, 32" is enough for anyone - Resolution, for this price it's hard to find a 1080p @ 32" - Had all the inputs I needed - After some tweaking the colors/picture are better than expected - 6.5ms was good enough for my gaming experience not to be adversely effected
Cons: - Doesn't look near as good as the 42" Sharp Aquos it replaced, but I wanted to move it up stairs and the TV was also 3x the cost. - This may be just me nitpicking, but this thing takes like 4 seconds to turn on.. I'm rather impatient.
Overall Review: - I paid $289, and used my $100 gift card I got with the X-box special a few weeks ago to get it to $189. You would be hard pressed to find a TV of this resolution and quality for this price point, especially when it was on sale. Shipping was completely free.. Newegg is amazing.
Unlocks into a monster
Pros: Flashed it with the 6970 shaders, but only overclocked to 840mhz.. That being said, I gained nearly 5 fps in BC2, and 3fps in Rift. I'm not going to complain about that at all :) Also does a solid 360 Mhash for farming bitcoins.
Cons: Large, barely fit in my antec 300 case... but did make it.. Running in Crossfire with this mb and case would make fitting all my hd's in difficult if not impossible without modification.
Overall Review: Love this card.. only playing in 1920x1080p, but I'm very close to going with 2 more 32" to go eyefinity.
