Not Saving the World but Good
Pros: The story though not as invigorating as some people wanted is good and believable no single handedly stoping a nuclear war or trying to stop WWIII but good enough. Guns are very accurate and the graphics are well done in my opinion. This game DOES NOT REQUIRE STEAM which is nice for once hate all these companies that are relying upon it to prevent piracy all it does is permanently makes the game unusable to anyone but whoever first installs it to their steam profile.
Cons: The SP is somewhat short.
Overall Review: Oddly enough i played this game right after COD Black Ops and i liked it more. Characters were better developed, story actually made sense 90% more often, and even though missions had kind of a follow the leader game style i actually didnt mind it because your computer generated allies were actually very helpful and used inteligent fighting strategies ninety percent of the time got so tired of BO guys just standing in the open unable to take down an enemy 2 feet away and was happy to see some actually useful ingame allies.
Piece of Junk Breaks Easily
Pros: They have nice sound quality and feel good on your head but that is about it. Oh yeah and they toss a nice carrying bag in that just about nobody will ever use.
Cons: Mics sound canceling properties were so good that you had to either yell or have it right on the tip of your lips for it to record well replaced it after a few months because even at full output people couldn't hear me well on ventrillo. Secondly the pieces holding the earphones on are very very thin plastic which breaks with normal use. A few months after i bought them cracks started forming on the plastic piece holding the earphone on and just today i finally had one snap all the way off when i picked it up :X.
Overall Review: If your going to shell out this kind of money for a headset consider something with a little better construction. This is probably the last time I will be going with a creative headset this is the second set that's gone out on me in the last year and a half and they aren't exactly cheap.
Does more harm then good
Pros: I was going to do a fresh install soon anyways.
Cons: This thing tore my computer a new one. Basically my computer was unusable after running this thing twice. A majority of my applications would not start properly and even simple tasks like opening the windows control panel would result in a error popup. Ended up just doing a fresh install since AVG's "Rescue Center" wouldn't open and I didn't feel like going to a back up from a few months ago. Luckily this thing didn't harm any of my personal files however so there was no long term damage just a lot of time wasted transfering files to a portable HD and reinstalling windows and all my apps.
Overall Review: Don't use this product let alone buy it unless you want to play Russian roulette with your hard drive.
In SLI this kills everything
Pros: In SLI this card will destroy any game you toss its way. Heres some benchmarks RE5 all maxed avg. FPS 160, Crysis Maxed 48 FPS running their GPU and CPU benchmark but i havent dropped below 48FPS in game, and Just Cause 2 maxed gets 60+ FPS in all its benchmarks. I have over 300 games in my library and so far theyve all run beautifully with these cards. Had a ATI 4860 in my rig before and these cards brought my Future mark score from 14000 to 19500.
Cons: Now for the cons. These cards have very little space between them on the average ATX motherboard. To make things worse the screws mounting the heatsink to the card are not flush with the back of the card and stick out enough to get caught in the fans of the top most card when in sli on some boards. Also the space issue results in the slot 1 card running 10c hotter then the second. If left alone spaced just enough apart for the fans to work properly the cards sit at 52c and 42 idle
Overall Review: However there is a solution to this problem. As one reviewer mentioned putting a plastic spacer between the cards will solve the spacing issue. In my case it was just the right size and gave my cards plenty of clearence without putting a ton of strain on them. On top of getting the fans on the first card enough clearence to work properly this also dropped my temps 10c on each card so that they idle at 42c and 35c idle and 70c max under load.
Pros: This is my fourth time buying this set and i currently have 8GB of this ram running in both of my custom builds i have for personal use.
Cons: none. Other then the heat sinks do make some cpu coolers a really snug fit.
Overall Review: Buy it great bang for your buck. Be sure to change your settings in your bios most systems set this ram to 1333 speed by default but getting it up to 1600 is a piece of cake.
