Most Favorable Review

One of the best DDR3 2x4GB values.

Team Vulcan 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model TLD38G2400HC11CDC01
Team Vulcan 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model TLD38G2400HC11CDC01

Pros: Single Sided, Hynix MFR (removed HS on one to find out). MFR is one of the better IC's out there. Bought 3 sets for an older x58 setup. I got them up to 2.16 GHz at 1.53v, BCLK limited with a Xeon L5639 (2.13GHz hexcore Westmere). CPU runs at 3.9GHz, can't get any higher. Teamgroup isn't as well known as corsair/G.Skill, etc, although that could be why this model/SKU is among the lowest priced 2x4GB products available when it goes on sale.

Cons: Couldn't find out how high it could go due to CPU limitation. Pretty sure it could hit DDR3 2400 with ease. Advertised at 1.65v when it doesn't need 1.55v to hit even DDR3 2200 with six DIMMs on a single x58 system. Took a while to fine tune memory timings since the XMP profile sucks. Although, I don't really ever use SPD/XMP other than as a starting point for mem timing tuning. Stupid people posting negative reviews when they clearly don't know what TF they're doing/buying and blaming the product instead of their ignorance or stupidity.

Overall Review: Has Hynix MFR IC's, goes on sale often, I bought 3 sets when it was the lowest priced 2x4GB DDR3 set on Newegg sometime in Oct 13. DDR3 2400 at lower price than ANY DDR3 1600 with same capacity is a win/win.
