it works
Pros: Its a DVD burner, what do you expect? Haven't tried to burn anything (or lightscribe) yet, but at least as far as reading disks it does the job well, fairly quiet, and fairly well built.
Cons: --Gave me beef with my RAID config. I think its more of my mobo's issue, but Win7 kept complaining about the optical device..so I don't know. -- Didn't come with any cables or anything, just drive in massive amounts of bubble wrap.
Overall Review: When in doubt, go LITE-ON. This is my 4th Lite-ON drive (including laptop and external) and all of them have always been rock solid. And of course, it was loads cheaper than LG or Sony options.
loud and red
Pros: -- Pretty red glow -- Fancy box -- Pretty easy to install -- Move a TON of air (made 10C diff in my mobo temp) -- very cheap
Cons: -- LOUD. VERY LOUD. 3 of these, + 3 Thermaltake which came with fan (rated 17db) and a Zelman cooler (rated 20-ish db) the computer sounded like a vacuum on steroids. After a few days I unplugged the power and its much much easier to live with now. Of course, my mobo temp went up 10C.
Overall Review: One fan in a solid case might not be a problem, but if you are thinking about a few of these, or if you have a case with a lot of open/mesh areas, reconsider and go for a pricier but quieter fan.
Pros: + Windows 8 pulled drivers for it right away. + Works decently well. Better range than what I had before.
Cons: - Ordered 3, 1 was defective. - Windows 7 could not find drivers for it. Needed to manually download and install.
Overall Review: Not 5Ghz.
Pros: Excellent case all around.
Cons: none
Overall Review: I'm on my 3rd Nokia 710 in a month because of "Invalid SIM" errors.
Pros: +Tight device fit +Armband fits a good range of arm thicknesses
Cons: Headphone jack is on the bottom of the phone, so you have to wear the band with the opening facing down (risk of phone falling out) or have the opening facing up (but then your phone is upside down and headphone cable is going the wrong way). Additionally, the fit is pretty tight so if you're not careful, the case will push volume and unlock buttons for you.
Pros: It's a USB2 flashdrive, what else is there to say. It works fine. The sliding mechanism is actually fairly sturdy.
Cons: n/a
Overall Review: Copying 16 GB over USB2 may take a while.
