Pros: Great combination of tech for the price. I have always been satisfied with ASUS products and this certainly hasn't let me down. Really bummed I didn't manage to get the A1 version with the blu-ray and extra 500 gigs, but this is just a gaming laptop to augment my main desktop gaming rig so I will make do.
Cons: Did not come double boxed. Many others have commented on this, but I will reiterate this statement... WHAT ARE YOU THINKING??? sending something like this in just the laptop box it left the manufacturer in? The factory box I received obviously took several decent hits, and I was amazed to find no damage to the laptop and it fully functional. It blows my mind that this was not double boxed. I can only imagine the number of RMA's this packaging has resulted in. Buy it, then uninstall the bloatware. Who buys this kind of laptop to play Alice Greenfingers???
Overall Review: DOUBLE BOX IT! Common Sense. UPS left this on my front porch. It literally stuck out like a big red $1,600 + thumb saying swipe me! luckily I am in a decent local, was only around back, and heard the truck. Peeps looking for a good cooler, go with the Zalman NC2000. Perfect fit, good build, and keeps it nice n cool.
Pros: Lighter than the G35's Wireless Comfortable
Cons: Noise Cancelling does not work. Will not work on my win7 64bit rig. As soon as I installed the drivers that came with the set, various audio and video formats began skipping in WMP and any games I attempted to run were unplayable due to extreme performance issues. I run a i975 extreme with 12 gigs of DR3, OCD Vertex II's in raid 0 and GTX580's. Everything was flawless before attempting to use this headset's drivers. I had to uninstall to get everything to work again. I attempted to use the new drivers and it was just as bad, only this time an uninstall did not fix the issue, I had to do a full system restore. I went back in and wiped anything I could find that would cause issues and tried both sets of drivers again, still with no luck. I sold them to a friend who is going to run them without the software.
Overall Review: I really like the Logitech products but this was a big disappointment. I will say I have 3 other friends who use these on their systems without issue, although the ones with the 64 bit rigs have never attempted to use the software that came with them.
Pros: Stand is very stable. Stylish monitor with very pleasing aesthetics. Image quality is amazing. Colors are some of the best I have seen out of a monitor with images and games coming out vibrant and sharp. 120hz refresh quality stands out. Anyone who has seen a sub 120 monitor next to a 120 knows this. Response time is great. Any FPS player will love this monitor. The image quality, size, and response time makes games like BFBC2 that much more fun and engaging (especially when sniping).
Cons: 3d for Nvidia is not sequential. I have to blame Nvidia for lack of drivers (hoping for some soon). No Versa Mount Support. No height adjustment. Limited tilt. Thinness of the display is made some what pointless due to the depth of the base. Price.
Overall Review: My desktop configuration allows me to use this monitor without issue. I would caution anyone who has height adjustment needs or uses a Versa mount that this may not be the best fit for them. Honestly though, the quality of this monitor is enough for me to pass up the Versa option.
Best I have used
Pros: The best looking image on a monitor I have ever seen. Makes other monitors I have used look like dirty mutts when you put them side by side. The 120hz and contrast makes for an unparalleled rich vibrant image.
Cons: stand... weeble wobble is the key phrase. Put it on a solid surface to isolate vibrations and your gtg.
Overall Review: Definitely worth the bucks even if you arent going for 3d gaming.
Pros: Cant beat the value for the price. 23" in this price range is a crazy deal. No issues out of the box
Cons: Just dont use it next to a high end monitor.
Overall Review: Picked this up as a spare 3rd monitor and a cheaper one for lugging to LAN's. Its a great monitor and decent looking as long as you don't put it next to a high end unit. My primary monitors are Samsung 120hz 3d gaming monitor's and it really looks dull next to them. But I am satisfied for having it to take to LAN's. Its nice cheap and I dont need to worry about it as much as I would my 3d's.
Pros: Big - inside and out. Definitely a substantial case with lots of room to work. air flow - With its size and mounting locations, there is lots of potential for air flow. Clean exterior - with the exception of the odd gap at the top when the cover is closed(mentioned in an earlier post), this is a very clean looking case Sturdy - When I pick this case up, it feels solid.
Cons: Air filter for PSU inside the case - Good idea for a filter, bad idea locating so that you are unable to remove it for cleaning if you installed a fan or radiator over the 120mm botom port located next to it. Some airflow restrictions with metal & Plastic lattice. I know its in place to protect fingers and fans, but I cut it out for added air flow. I prefer to use fan grills that are less restrictive then the grids built into the case. But hey, what's building a new PC without a little cutting.
