Keeps the laptop cooler
Pros: It keeps my laptop cooler. This is very good for me since my laptop runs steaming hot, and I desperately needed it to run cooler. Besides that the built in USB hub was very convenient for me since I have a bunch of USB devices and only 4 ports on my laptop, this was the main selling point for me over the other model that Rosewill sells for a much cheaper price. Although I probably could have picked up that model and external USB hub for a total lower cost.
Cons: I have an ASUS G51J-A1. The keyboard is backlit. This cooler can be powered through USB or a power outlet. For some reason when it was powered through the outlet my backlit keyboard remained on even when the machine was off. I didn't think anything of it when I first noticed it, other than that it was a strange oddity. A month or so down the line I shut my machine down and the backlit keyboard was flickering while a crackling and popping sound went over the speakers, which were also powered by the cooler's USB hub. Due the fright of electrical damage to my overly expensive laptop I only power it with the USB now. Turns out this was even more convenient to me because I can just leave the power switch on the cooler set to on. This way it is only on when the laptop is on. Good since if it was powered by the outlet the fans would've kept spinning and I would have to remember to shut off the cooler. And last but not least. The documentation on this cooler is very weak, VERY WEAK.
Overall Review: While the fright of electrical damage initially worried me after that strange anomaly, I do like this cooler and would recommend it. I would also recommend using USB to power it instead of a power outlet due to the convenience it carries.
Good keyboard for the price
Pros: Price and features. For the price I couldn't recommend another keyboard. The keys are very quiet, I like this since loud keyboards annoy me. The keyboard has a lot of extra media buttons and stuff, although I don't use them.
Cons: The function lock key. This is so pointless. Sometimes after I play video games and exit them random stuff like my email client will be open. I think it's a glitch with the keyboard or the combination of keys I press. Not a big deal to me.
Overall Review: Low price and stuff, worth it.
Suitable cheap cable
Pros: The price and quality. I was a bit concern on only spending this much for an HDMI cable when I've seen cables in stores sold for much more. A quick Google search suggested that those cables are overpriced and that this cheap one would perform just as well. My experience with this cable is that it is just as high quality but for a much lower price.
Cons: The cable is a little bit stiff, but that's hardly a real con.
Overall Review: Used this to plug my 22" ASUS widescreen LCD monitor into my ASUS G51J-A1 gaming laptop. While the laptop is great, I have to say, a 22" monitor is so much better than the 15.6" built in.
Decent performance over a moderate length of time.
Pros: Low price. Good sound quality. On CS:S I can hear footsteps just as well as my teammates with $100 headsets. My teammates on vent say I sound crystal clear. They last over a pretty long amount of time. Mine worked and still works somewhat, and it's been over 3 years.
Cons: It's made with cheat materials. I wouldn't be too harsh with this one. After 1.5 years the material on the microphone ripped and fell off. Not too big of a deal since I still sounded fine. After 2 years the mechanism which keeps the microphone rod in place in front of my mouth weakened and doesn't support it well. If I move to fast or hard it falls down to the point that nobody in vent can hear me when I speak.
Overall Review: Price: $12? This is a deal. You get good quality sound, microphone performance, and it doesn't fall apart fast. Definitely worth the money.
Pros: 2200 DPI, high build quality, made me a better CS player.
Cons: The cord is somewhat short. When the mouse is set at 2200 DPI the mouse may freak out. This problem is the mouses polling rate. It uses Windows' default 125Hz. Obviously you can unlock this and have the rate set higher. The rate of fire button, which is less effective in CS:S and does not work for all weapons perfectly. This button basically makes it click 2-4 times.
Overall Review: It has made me a better Awper. My CAL team is happy. I use a DPI of 1600 because of the said problem. My in game CS:S sensitivity is 1.75-3.00. I change it occasionally. I obviously use CPL configuration and have mouse acceleration disabled. -Why not us?
