Great for the price, painful wait required for Ivy Bridge processors

Foxconn H67S LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
Foxconn H67S LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s Mini ITX Intel Motherboard

Pros: - Fantastic price - Good features

Cons: - Cannot OC your processor even though the options exist - No USB 3 - Wouldn't POST on arrival due to the BIOS issue that has been addressed in other reviews. You must wait for the manufacturer supplied BIOS chip to be mailed to you

Overall Review: It wouldn't POST with my Ivy Bridge i5 3570K. I had to call FoxConn; that was painless -- you just provide your home address and they mail you a tiny chip in 4-5 days. After the BIOS upgrade however, it was smooth sailing. If you are buying this with an Ivy Bridge processor and dont have a previous generation CPU kicking around to boot and upgrade your BIOS, I'd recommend calling ahead to FoxConn to get your chip so you don't have to sit and stare at your new PC build and drool for a week while you wait.

Most Critical Review

Decent, battery life OK

PLANTRONICS Explorer 220 Bluetooth Headset
PLANTRONICS Explorer 220 Bluetooth Headset

Pros: Works fine, cheap, pairing works OK, audio quality is acceptable/good.

Cons: Battery life seems to be somewhat low, and there doesn't seem to be a clear indication of a low battery condition (unless I haven't read the manual thoroughly). Ear piece is a bit clunky and pushes my upper lobe out like Mr. Spock.

Overall Review: Does the job for the price.

Good, but does not work as expected with OSX

Rosewill Apollo - RK-9100xRBR - Mechanical Keyboard with Red Backlit
Rosewill Apollo - RK-9100xRBR - Mechanical Keyboard with Red Backlit

Pros: Great keyboard, lighting effects are decent, feels good.

Cons: Does not work well with OSX. The Cmd-Backspace keystroke to delete word backwards which I rely on HEAVILY does not work when this keyboard is connected to my MBP over USB (via a lightning hub). This seems to be ok with other external keyboards. Also, the LED lights for Caps/Num lock don't turn on.

Overall Review: Wanted to keep this keyboard but I think I'll have to change my mind because of the OSX keyboard issue.

Dead on arrival

TOSHIBA PH3300U-1I72 3TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Retail Kit
TOSHIBA PH3300U-1I72 3TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Retail Kit

Pros: Didn't have to wait days and copy tons of stuff on drive to find out it would die, because...

Cons: ...it was dead when I plugged it in.

Overall Review: Was dead on arrival. Clickety-clack clickety-clacked when I plugged it in and booted up. Ubuntu booted up minutes longer than usual and then did not see the drive (as expected). RMAd and waiting for replacement. Disappointed with Toshiba.

Works fine, nice design

BYTECC Bracket-252B 2.5" Dual HDD/SSD Screwless Bracket For 3.5" Drive Bay - Blue
BYTECC Bracket-252B 2.5" Dual HDD/SSD Screwless Bracket For 3.5" Drive Bay - Blue

Pros: Works great. It has a handle and some plastic screws making it toolless.

Cons: None really.

Pictures OK, lens mechanism got stuck after 3 months

Canon PowerShot A480 Red 10.0 MP 3.3X Optical Zoom Digital Camera
Canon PowerShot A480 Red 10.0 MP 3.3X Optical Zoom Digital Camera

Pros: Super cheap. Great pictures under good lighting. Uses AA batteries.

Cons: Somewhat chunkier than the SD series (likely due to the use of AA batteries). Without a flash, forget good pictures under low light. Flash takes a few seconds to charge after each pic that requires it. Telescoping lens mechanism started jamming on open and close after just 3 months of use.

Overall Review: Pay a bit more for a higher camera, or pick up a user higher camera for the price of this one new.
