Pros: - Crysis 2 @ 1080p Max settings runs at ~45 fps - Max temperature after session was about 75 degrees with no additional cooling - 2 GB RAM - 4 Monitor support - 2 DVI, 2 mini, HDMI ports - Under 11 inches long - No Dumb character art on the label - Not terribly power demanding, 500w is acceptable, and if youre reading reviews for this card you probably already have something ~700 - Power connector is on the side, not the end of the card. - Able to unlock to 6970 (havent done this yet though) - For how powerful it is, the noise never got as loud as i expected from the fan - Exceptional packaging and accessories included.
Cons: - Still a fairly long card, ~10.6" , just make sure you have a large enough Mid/full case, but thats barely a con at all, and more of a requirement. - Two 6 pin cables required, but yet again, more of a standard and less of a con.
Overall Review: Had to bend my hard drive bay a wee bit to get the last bit of clearance for this long card, but that is completely my fault and not HIS, I am upgrading to a Zalman Z9 Plus soon and that will fix my space issue. This card was not as loud as I expected it to be from reading others reviews before purchasing. This card crushes any game any a normal resolution right now, and with a few quick google searches youll see it barely performs under the 6970 and costs 100 dollars less, and thats not counting the unlock for this card.
Great Performance on a Budget
Pros: This Drive has a fantastic read speed for how low it's price point is. Similarly priced drives have read speeds almost half as fast. Installing Win 7 64 was a snap, and incredibly fast, went from a 2 hour installation on my old drive, to 25 minutes.
Cons: The write speed isn't as fast as some other drives in this price range, but the read speed really makes up for this completely. the packaging on this drive is horribly nondescript, but i guess that's just me expecting every company to love packaging. Also, doesn't come with a 2.5 to 3.5 expansion tray for you computer, so make sure you plan ahead. some cases come with them already too.
Overall Review: I have the Zalman z9 plus case, which has a 2.5 ssd slot built into the case already, so the con i mentioned didnt apply to me.
Beautiful with fixable issues
Pros: - Very very very thin. - HDMI - built in menu isn't a tragedy to use like some monitors. - excellent brights and darks - 2ms response time
Cons: - when using HDMI i had the issue of it automatically switching to AVI mode giving everything a fuzzy effect which from what i've read is a common issue that im not sure why exists still. switching it to "computer mode" fixed my problem completely but it was still a hassle to figure out. - little bit too blue for my taste out of the box, but i think every monitor needs adjusted per person out of the box. - stand is a bit wobbly, and can squeak at times, but im almost not even mad about it because of how elegant the stand looks.
Overall Review: the only cons I had were very minor/fixable so I am happy with this purchase overall.
Pros: Coming from a very average wireless logitech mouse i can only think "wow i cant believe how stupid i was for waiting this long to get a real mouse." Has great sensitivity and smoothness to it. The Ergonomics of it are great, reall fits well for my medium sized hand. Scroll wheel has a satisfying click-roll to it. Also came with The Scarab Pad at a discount deal so that was a no - brainer purchase.
Cons: None that I can think of, especially in this price range. Definitely meets all of my needs.
Overall Review: Logo on the palm of the mouse lights up too, very nice.
Great Budget Option
Pros: - Filters over the fans - Very Roomy - Tool-less installation parts work well, although I'd still almost prefer the peace of mind of a regular screw. - Ample room for cable management and hiding. - Great ventilation considering the pricing.
Cons: - The manual is a joke at best, but it's so easy you really dont need it. - Popping out the plates in the front to put in drives is a frustrating task consisting of twisting and tugging until it breaks free, be gentle for the rest of the case frame, it also can bend if you approach this task like the hulk.
Overall Review: - My front fan LED light doesn't work, but I'm not 100% confident that its not my fault yet, still working on that.
High Performance On A Budget
Pros: -Booted up flawlessly after first install with all new hardware into my pre-existing windows 7 harddrive i carried over into the new build. No need to change or download anything or boot from any discs before hand, just plug it in and let windows update do the rest for you, or run the update off the cd it comes with. Comes with crossfire (8x, 8x) which is great for my two budget cards. Also includes lots of extra optional software you can choose to install to help with simple overclocking.
Cons: I didn't enjoy losing a PCI slot to a larger graphics card, but from what I see thats a relatively frequent problem. The crossfire is only 8x 8x, but for under 100 dollars you wont get a 16x 16x option so this is barely a con.
Overall Review: Great color scheme, the heat sinks look great, not sure if thats a purely cosmetic alteration or not but they are awesome. Also, many older reviews point out some AM3 processor problems, this has clearly been fixed by bios updates because with my rig i ran into nothing of the sort.
