Coming from GTX285 SLI

EVGA GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 012-P3-1570-AR
EVGA GeForce GTX 570 (Fermi) 1280MB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 SLI Support Video Card 012-P3-1570-AR

Pros: Got this card hooked up to a 42" s0ny Br@via. Works great at 1080p res. No complaints from my upgrade because I no longer have to worry about sli profiles and lots of crashes with SLI. *Puts out WAY less heat than the sli 285s..this is the major reason I purchased this 570. *Games that make heavy use of GPU power benefit off of a powerful single card. *Temp does NOT exceed 70C. (285s would each hit 76C, that literally makes them a nice convection heater) *GPU fan is much quieter thanks to its new vapor chamber technology. *DX11 tesselation is a nice bonus and makes games look great. *Of course dont forget to register for EVGA's limited lifetime warranty. The first thing that I did when i opened up the box.

Cons: *Lower minimum framerates with AA on. Scenes with alot going on would bring my 285s with 4xAA down to about 50 fps..the 570 handles 4xAA pretty well but it goes down to 40fps. A noticeable difference, but really no need for 4xAA unless you'r obsessed with having high everything settings. *EVGA's 570 does not allow too much OC potential thanks to their cheap 4-phase Volt Regulator Module vs their competitions gpu's sporting 8-phase VRM. ---I have about a 3-5% OC depending on the game. No problems so far.

Overall Review: I must note that some people do not feel that upgrading from SLI cards to a 570 or 580 is worth the extra dough, but the temperature in my room went from stuffy to comfortable with the upgrade, and I still max out most games graphics..No complaints from me. Not to mention that if I so choose in the future, I can always pick up another 570! Intel i7 920 @ 3.8GHz OCZ Vertex2 60gig SSD COOLERMSTER Hyper 212 CPU fan. 3 CHannel ocz memory @ 1600MHz(7-7-7)

OCZ Vertex 2 2.5" 55GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G

Pros: Slightly faster Read Access speed but..............

Cons: OCZ...why advertise up to 250 MB/s Write speed, when in reality its 30-60 MB/s??? This is with latest drivers on intel chipset and ssd.. I'm getting 31 MB/s Write speed and 180 MB/s Read as per CrystalDiskMark. My WD Caviar Blue 500GB HD with MOVING PARTS gets 120/110 Read/Write....this is UNACCEPTABLE for a drive with outrageous GB/$ pricetag....

Overall Review: for anyone who is curious, this is with indexing, backup, defrag, write cache all turned OFF so unless I'm omitting something, OCZ or someone feel free to enlighten me. Page file is on HD not SSD.

Ultra Faucets UF44020 4" Centerset Two-handle Lavatory Faucet Chrome
Ultra Faucets UF44020 4" Centerset Two-handle Lavatory Faucet Chrome

Pros: Got cheap for $20.

Cons: Faucet drips with first use. Not sure why manufacture has 2 squares cut out on drain pipe..sealed with teflon tape no problem. Seems "mickey mousey" but does the job for the price. Plastic base for faucet may be a little on the thin side for some.

Overall Review: Honestly now that these faucets are back to normal $34 price tag, I would just look for an American made faucet at Lowe's earlier reviewer mentioned. Skip this setup if you are looking for quality faucet.

So there i was ballsdeep in a tubesock..

Logitech Z906 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System - THX, Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Certified - Black
Logitech Z906 5.1 Surround Sound Speaker System - THX, Dolby Digital and DTS Digital Certified - Black

Pros: Okay..for all the people hating on this system, let me break down a few steps so that those can understand how to get the most out of these speakers. First off...they are not $1000+ set of professional grade 5.1 drivers with a standalone Receiver (amp)..you get what you pay for...that said, here's what I did to get midgrade sound from these speakers using a PC of course: 1. Ditch the included cables....ALL of THEM...garbage quality 18 GA cable and SPDIF cable...go with 16GA copper (brand doesnt matter, just go with whatever copper) $8... plus optical cable from newegg $5......$13 2. Get a couple tweeters from am@zon...not too expensive just look for ones with good reviews..got mine for $13... 3. Get yourself a good sound card IMPORTANT..I got Creatives xfi titanium fatality for $80..dont skimp on this.. 4. settings settings settings! Play with settings to get the most from your z906 set (keep in mind i got my set with the half off promo sooo i got it for $200)......(continued)

Cons: (continued from pros)..here's what I did: Immediately since you now have added tweeters connected to front left and right speaker jacks, you will notice higher treble, go to treble setting in the sound card software and lower to 4-40% (preference). Now set software to 5.1 in the speakers tab, keep crossover frequency at 80hz, set CMSS 3D tab to 30-40% front with surround or expand setting to Surround, set EAX tab (this will make the speakers shine in music) to theater mode @3-8dB (whatever sounds good for you), go to graphic equalizer tab and select your genre of music (adjust frequencies if you want), go to xfi crystalizer tab and set to 50%+, next go to encoder tab and select DTS or Dolby Digital Live (again your preference) i have DTS. Now using your Creative control for the speakers, hit the LEVEL button...adjust the subwoofer option to your preference, press twice and adjust rear speakers keep them to about 4-5..raise center speaker. Done...adjust above settings for ear preferenc

Overall Review: I got tired of seeing bad reviews from inept people who dont quite know how to get the most from their speakers..keep in mind my above settings are for PC use only, the speakers will still sound great with PS3...you may have too much treble with both tweeters for PS3, if this happens simply disconnect one tweeter and you should be fine. I HOPE THIS HELPS MOST..if you are not satisfied, RMA the speakers, get yourself an onky0 receiver ($300+) and a decent set of satelites and sub..this of course will cost you anywhere from $600 on upwards of thousands of dollars so stop complaining..these speakers are bottom of the barrel when it comes to home theater but they can still pack a punch when used correctly..

OCZ Vertex 2 2.5" 55GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-2VTXE60G

Pros: Bought this a year ago and still going strong..benchmarking 175MB/s reads..fast enough for me..not worth getting two for raid IMO..WEI score of 7.0. Have OS, some games, and other small files compressed and saved 10+ GBs with no noticeable reduction in read speed. No pagefile for me with no downsides. Overall happy customer. EZ to flash this drive to latest spec.

Cons: False advertising (as most already know). Speed is less than rated..by like 100MB/s read..Docked an egg.. I had much difficulty getting this drive to work in AHCI but after much hassle I got the win7 to work on this and it's been smooth sailing ever since.

Intel Core i7-920 - Core i7 Bloomfield Quad-Core 2.66 GHz LGA 1366 130W Processor - BX80601920

Pros: Coupled with aftermarket cooling, of course, can run all modern games (2012) below 60C! And at a 3.8GHz OC since the day i bought it...this CPU isn't worthy of anything less than 5 stars..unbelievable that this is $20 more than the day i bought it 3 years ago..supply and demand i guess...

Cons: Will not install itself damm it! The only con i can see is that its chipset LGA1366 so not possible to "upgrade" to sandy bridge without buying new board..oh well..not upgrading for another 2 years knock on wood!

Overall Review: Intel dominates.
