nice 1080p gaming display

Pros: usb 3.0 hub (2 x 3.0 ports) built in speaker no dead pixels bright and crisp display
Cons: some ips glow on all black background (not really an issue for everyday use)
Overall Review: nice 1080p monitor for gaming. 1080p is still the sweetspot for gaming and also good for everyday use. actually prefer the larger font on a large 1080p display compared to tiny fonts on a higher res screen. no need to mess with mess with font scaling.
does not work with standard UPS

Pros: cheap (after rebate), stable, and mostly quiet (when not loaded)
Cons: Dies instantly when on UPS battery backup power. Does not work with APC BackUPS 550 due to active PFC on the PSU not being compatible with stepped sine wave output of most standard UPS. UPS is a must in FL and this will not cut it. Only other way is a Pure sine wave UPS which costs nearly triple the standard UPS so if UPS is a must figure in the replacement cost.
Overall Review: Only reason i bought this is due to the low lost after a large rebate. If I had not known about the UPS issue I would never have bought it. Check reviews on N82E16817371007 for same UPS compatibility issues.
works but not stable at 3600 xmp

Pros: works good at 3400 cl16 samsung b-die per thaiphoon burner
Cons: not stable at xmp 3600mhz
Overall Review: not stable at 3600 xmp profile on r5 3600 running on aorus b450 board pro wifi board. no overclocks. had to lower to 3400 with cl16 and now stable. i guess lowering speed in exchange for lower timing is an ok compromise.
two boards both fail

Pros: b550m and has wifi buiit in with good number of fan headers. good generic heat sinks.
Cons: see below
Overall Review: first one was doa and would not power on. got a replacement and that powers on but will not post and gets stuck cycling between cpu and ram led. thought it was the corsair vengeance 3600 ram so tried a 3200 and 3000 and all same issue. one of them was even on the supported memory list on the msi website. thought it was the bios so tried flashing using bios button and spent an hour and would not flash using multiple flash drives partitioned as mbr. bios flash port is the bottom most usb port under the ps2 connector. thinking it may already be on the latest bios which was released on 8/10.
hp27xi debranded

Pros: This is a steal at $145 shipped after rebate and amex promo. thin bezels and overall design give it a modern look hidden touch activated OSD controls as well as software based controls bigger than my 25" HP 2511x TN panel it replaced amazing display with bright screen(possible con see below) and vibrant colors rebrandable with bit of effort ;-)
Cons: not really a con but screen is too bright at default 90% so now its lowered to 60% which is easier on the eyes...100% is like looking at the sun (j/k) but you get my drift. some ips glow on the lower right and left corners on black background but this is to be expected on ips screens hence the term. might bother some when watching movies/games with dark scenes but I don't really notice it.
Overall Review: some people cringe at 1080p on a 27" monitor but I think its better for those with poor vision since everything is bigger. Also I game from time to time so I don't need a monster video card to drive a 1440p display and 1080p is just fine in gaming. Finally IPS screen is like going from a HDD to a SSD for your eyes.... I will never go back to a TN panel anymore.
works for burner max

Pros: crossflashed to 524b for labelflash then flashed to max and everything works great ;)
Cons: none
