Great for multi screen or single screen setup's9/23/2014 6:17:12 PM

Pros: First as title says great for multi screen setups. , It has VESA mounts for monitor stands or wall mounting. Tiny Bezels under half inch except for bottom one which is slightly larger. Lots of screen real estate and did I say tiny bezels yet ??. Excellent picture and several picture modes. The same as Asus uses in most all of there monitor panels. RBG mode, Scenery mode, theater mode, Game mode, Standard mode and Night view. I seem to prefer theater mode myself. The speakers that they come with are good for what you are getting. I guess what I am trying to say is they are not bad for built in speakers and will do in a pinch. Full HDMI and the blacks are magnificent. I have 3 of these panels. Interestingly this is the same panel as the Asus VN279QL, the only difference between the VN2769Q and the VN279QL is the much nicer stand that comes with the L model and the L model also comes with every CABLE, Display port, HDMI, Display port to DVI and HDMI to mini HDMI. The price difference between the two is usually 20 bucks however in my opinion if you are going to use the stock stand and not mount them the extra 20 dollars is well spent on the nicer stand and cables. My 3 are on a triple stand. They are nice and thin for panels without power bricks. I have yet to see any light bleed or bad, dead, stuck pixels. One last comment is that I think Asus monitors seem to be of very nice quality I have these 3 27 inch panels and I have also purchased 3 24" inch monitors Asus VH238 and all 6 Asus monitors worked flawlessly out of the box and continue to do so. No stuck/dead pixels on any of them. That's pretty good no matter what your expectations are.

Cons: I guess the lack of a DVI port is my biggest gripe. Also if you are going to wall mount the on/off and controls are on the bottom back of the panel so you would need to have a little gap to get your fingers behind there to turn it on/off and or change settings. Personally I don't like they come with speakers but that's a small gripe.

Overall Review: Over all I have 99% good things to say about these panels, I watch a ton of movies and play my PC games deep into the night, Very pleased with these monitors. Buy this or the VN27Q model when they are on sale and rebate to keep costs under 300 bucks. The Asus rebate is 30 dollars and well worth sending in. Also just follow the instructions and the Rebate process works great

Great for Single or Multi screen setups9/22/2014 7:09:09 PM

Pros: First as title says great for multi screen setups. You can even use the included stand for all 3 screens as you can use the stand to run in landscape or portrait, Or if you prefer it has VESA mounts for monitor stands or wall mounting. Don't be afraid or Worried3/29/2014 5:01:19 PM

Pros: I was very worried about moving from Win 7 which I love to Win 8.1. It was for nothing. It's the retail version so you get a 64 bit disc and a 32 bit disc. You can install it on as many PC's as you wish, just one at a time. I need this as I swap my hardware like underwear. Often ;) The much talked about "Start" button is BACK !! so no worries there. You can make Windows 8.1 look like Windows 7 if you like. Windows 8.1 boots faster than Windows 7, Other than that speed increase I think they are about the same in operation speed. My main PC use is for browsing and gaming, I run 3 monitors in Nvidia Surround and this version of Windows handles all my games and all the Nvidia settings and setup just fine. Windows 8.1 also runs all my games perfectly. I have not had one issue with Windows and PC Games.

Cons: Getting used to it is only real con. Im not sure Microsoft will keep this interface next time around after it kicked up so much dust. You know what though ? it's fine. The Metro interface, however it's not really a con once you start to play around all those squares now look nothing like it did when I first started using this operating system. I now have the tiles on my metro start up all changed out to the ones I want. All my app's and games are now on my Metro.

Overall Review: I needed a new copy of Windows, I had an OEM copy of 7 and I upgrade hardware alot. The folks at Microsoft have been very kind to let me validate after upgrades a few times. I didn't want to push the envelope. So since the price on Retail Windows 8.1 is in a very good spot. I went for it. Im glad I did.

Just what I wanted, Love it3/29/2014 4:36:14 PM

Pros: It's very small, would fit in your pocket and not be uncomfortable. Reads cars well and reads them quickly. SD,SDHC,SDXc,RS-MMC,Mobile-MMC. MMC-Micro, MS,MS-Pro,MS-Duo,MS-Pro Duo,MS-ProHG Duo 8bit mode Works on All Windows versions from XP on up. Works on Mac OS X v1.0.3.9 or later USB 3.0 and compatible with USB 2 "Claims" data rate 5Gbps, 480/12/1.5 Mbps

Cons: I really don't call these cons but some may. It's tiny, very small. Would not be hard to lose track of this little guy. Also the cord is very short. It measures 3.5 inches from the device to the USB plug. Overall length of the device is exactly 8 inches tip to tip. Thickness of the reader is 0.5 inches.

Overall Review: I just wanted a small card reader to be able to read the SD cards from a digital camera I picked up. I did not want to put another device in the front bays of my desktop. I was however prepared to. I was shopping card readers on New Egg. As I signed up to receive e-mails from New Egg I found an e-mail in my inbox the next morning. New Egg knew I was shopping for card readers and sent me some suggestions other shoppers had liked. I saw this and purchased it within 10 minutes. I guess there marketing e-mails work well ;)

Well worth buying3/29/2014 4:09:15 PM

Pros: Crazy fast. If you run Windows 8.1 you can boot super fast. Not saying 7 wont boot fast but 8.1 is the fastest on boot times. Comes with a nice little software app called Samsung Magician. Magician gives you status on your SSD's health, how much space you have used. Also allows you to optimize the SSD within your OS and a performance optimization. Gives you a little benchmark app that tests read/write random and sequential not only for your new SSD but for any other SSD and or mechanical drives you have. Very nice little piece of free software ! This software also gives you the ability to "Secure Erase" and return to factory settings. Says it destroys all data so it cannot be recovered. Not sure if this is good or bad. Suppose it depends on who you are and what your doing

Cons: I honestly can't think of much in the "con" dept. other than big size drives are still to expensive so we wait and continue to use mechanical for data storage.

Overall Review: Soon we should be able to use only our SSD's for programs and our storage. This day is getting closer as the price/size pricing comes more in line.

Beautiful and huge mouse mat3/23/2014 4:30:26 PM

Pros: no reviews I was a little wary. However I have bought these mats before and wanted a big one. Last one didn't really wear out. I just spattered to much food on it over the months. hehe I pick the one up if Im having food at the desk. It's a big one 17.5" wide and about 13.75 high. Does not slide has proper backing. Does not get snags like some cloth mat's. It's glossy to a point but not so glossy the mouse skips across it to easily. It's a very nice mat !!

Cons: none at all, only can is having to be careful with drinks and food but that's on us.

Overall Review: If you like big mat's this is it. Beautiful colors, nice borders, great backing. It's all good here. Using a Razor Death Adder left hand edition on it. Works great.

Very nice for basic builds3/23/2014 4:19:23 PM

Pros: Reliable , clean power, quality workmanship. Corsair is one of the premier names in PSU. The connectors are well made. Some power supply wire leads are built poorly and do not plug into motherboards etc easily or worse they come apart difficult. Corsair warranty and easy RMA process.

Cons: basic power supply so the cables are no modular but you know what your getting when you buy.

Overall Review: For basic customer builds these are great. I have dozens of these out in the field running away with no issues. If the users ever want to upgrade video etc there is plenty of headroom to do so.

just what you need3/23/2014 4:12:10 PM

Pros: Quiet, quick, inexpensive. Seriously these drives have been around so long now most any of them will do the trick.

Cons: none really, the only con is we still need to buy them. they will become the new floppy drives soon. Perhaps not.

Overall Review: Got this for a build I was working on. Needed a good one at low cost. Was on sale for 16 dollars. Samsung name. Like I said just what you need.

Perfect everyday storage3/23/2014 4:02:01 PM

Pros: Great reliable everyday storage. In the last 12 to 14 years of buying WD drives I have RMA'ed only 2. This however means I have several old IDE hard drives lying about that work fine but no use for them. hehe I suppose that's a good thing. Fast for mechanical drives, good 7200RPM and good cache.

Cons: they don't die and you have hard drives you no longer use laying around the house.

Overall Review: My last Western Digital RMA was a blue drive I sent in just a few months ago. The entire process I did online and I got my replacement drive in 10 days of sending off the old one. I RMA'ed a blue drive and got back a same size (1 terabyte) drive only a caviar black. Nice little upgrade.

Got another one2/26/2014 8:35:18 PM

Pros: Inexpensive protection. Many features for a power surge strip. Ability to connect cable, telephone. Cable management clips. Slim profile, very well construction with heavy gauge cord and plenty of cord. Oh yes one last thing, they are on sale right now. There is no way to beat this product at 16 dollars. I should have gotten 2 more :/

Cons: not one

Overall Review: This is my 2nd one. Needed another as I set up a muti monitor gaming setup. Keeps things nice and neat.

Great, just what I needed2/10/2014 8:21:14 PM

Pros: Perfect Size, Bezel not overly large, colors good, no dead pixels.Sturdy base. VGA, DVI HDMI inputs. They sit solid on Base. Mounts on rear of monitor to hook to mechanical arm stand. Large looking 23" screens. If your looking for screens to use in surround or Eyefinity make sure they have enough inputs. I can't tell you how many times I saw units I liked only to realize they were missing DVI ports. Ughhh.

Cons: Only real con I can list is they are not IPS panels. However they are LED. I needed monitors to be in this price range. 149 dollars. Hopefully I will not have picture issues at angles. Time will tell.

Overall Review: I bought 3 at once for a surround setup. I live in Mass. They shipped from N. Jersey and arrived in perfect condition. I was really worried about this step. I have had then show up rattling before. So very happy. Pulled them one by one on arrival and all worked perfectly with no pixel issues. So far so good. Waiting for my arm to arrive and a new desk to arrive and get to work. Will be driving these screens with 2 GTX 670 4GB and an Intel I5-3570K and 16 GB of memory. Can't wait to get started.

Sweet Controller12/24/2013 11:16:57 PM

Pros: It's not flashing LED lights and a touch screen that gives out in a week. Slider switches x6. Powered by molex plugs.Just plug in your fans work the sliders. I got this to use with NZXT's little fan 10 port fan grid. Now all is nice and tidy. You can change the color of the fan numbers under each slider to match your color scheme but that's all the lights there are.

Cons: Very small con, I have the Corsair 650D mid tower. When fitting the controller into the front bay slot it's a bit loose in there. My case like many uses tool less hold downs. I just put 4 screws in there to hold it steady and all is well.

Overall Review: If you want a simple controller thats not touch screen and LED lights this is for you. Well made plenty of power per channel. Set up takes minutes and your ready to get started. Don't waste time on the touch screens. They don't last. in most cases and the lights keep you awake if the machine is in your room.

Sturdy, quiet, air mover12/23/2013 5:44:12 PM

Pros: This is a sturdy little piece of fan tech, The body of the fan is reinforced. Looks good, it's white. moves air. works with controllers just fine.

Cons: Needs to come with a few grommets etc for anti vibration and noise dampening.

Overall Review: Needed a nice looking white fan that was a functional air mover. It is hard to find quiet, air mover, good looks, sturdy etc but this fits the bill and stays in the mid price group.

I finally got one12/23/2013 5:35:58 PM

Pros: Very functional and does just as it's intended to. Simple and easy to use. I dare say instructions are not needed. Feel much better doing my work now. Happy.

Cons: can be considered inexpensive and or low quality. However this piece is not a heavy duty piece of equipment. 2 or 4 gauge wire is not needed. Wrist strap can be small for some heavier and or larger humans. Can always velcro a piece in.

Overall Review: I have been building and working on computers for years and never owned one of these. In the last year I have noticed more static than usual in our residence. I have also taken apart a system and killed the motherboard somewhere in the process. Same with a 300 dollar GPU. I know to much to be making such dumb mistakes. Problem solved with this !!

So many choices12/23/2013 5:19:59 PM

Pros: Easy to work with and non conductive, won't harm components.

Cons: Im not sure it has any. Im also not sure it works any better than good ole Artic Silver 5.

Overall Review: I wanted to try this as it is non conductive as stated above and it has no supposed cure time. I really did not see any changes from Artic Silver 5. That's not to say this does not work, I would just say for me it does not work any Better. It's not a bad thing.. In the end if you have something you like and are comfy with. Use it !

NZXT has some good ideas12/23/2013 5:11:41 PM

Pros: Small, 10 ports, easy to find a spot for it, cleans up case and cables. Simplify your fans and you don't have to worry about opening up the case months after you build it and unscramble all your fans and leads and where they go. I have many fans and things were all over. This solved it.

Cons: None I can think of, I would love to see this bundled with a fan controller by NZXT to even further marry the cables and cleanup.

Overall Review: I purchased this small hub along with a 6 switch NZXT controller. AC-SEN-MIX2-M1. They work well together. I have 2-120 fans on my water radiator, 2 -200mm fans in front and side door and a 140mm in the rear. For the moment this is it and my case is a Corsair 650D and my air flow is crazy good.

Yes we have quiet12/23/2013 4:56:32 PM

Pros: Color rings, the silence. corsair quality, good speed. The option to get them in 3 pin or 4 pin PWM. Make sure you are getting the ones you want.

Cons: I really do not have any cons per say. I would like a little more in the way of anti vibration mounts, rubber grommets and such. For the price of the upper end product it would be nice. Don't think they make any 140mm in this spec. Would be nice.

Overall Review: Im going to have to replace all my 120mm fans now with these. Just the uniform look and the pure silence when running is a must. Having all my fans the same is something that was not important before but now it needs to happen.

Solid Reference card for Less10/1/2013 5:21:22 PM

Pros: Reference card made to Nvidia spec that costs less than all the other partners cards. Quality just as good. 4GB memory for less money than usual. Was cheaper and a solid buy towards the end of the purchasing life cycle of the 600 series cards. They will last a long time in SLI, A Powerful SLI setup for gaming. Plays almost all games on highest settings even when used as a single card. Very good performance., Battlefield 3, Metro Last Light, Far Cry 3, Crysis 3, I have them all and the 670 plays them super smooth.

Cons: I seem to have purchased a discontinued item. Thats ok, I got it on 9/20/13 for 294 dollars to use in an SLI setup. If you buy a Zotac card you need to register the card at Zotac's web site. If you live in the US you serial number is not always recognized. You need to open a support ticket then give them all the info they need and they manually register your card for you. It's not the biggest pain I have ever gone through but it is a little bit of a pain. Just remember to get your product registered for warranty.

Overall Review: As mentioned paired this with an EVGA GTX 670 FTW 4GB in SLI. Running strong easy setup. Well they were on sale for 294. here and now it seems they are gone. The lack of any other reviews in this time period tells me Im one of the first to write a review. Or, They only had 1 card and I bought it. LOL

Good for a quick build4/29/2013 3:31:48 PM

Pros: Roomy little case for what you get. Painted interior, enough cable management for you to keep it tidy. Proper amount of hardware included. Looks decent. Holds a 10-11 inch graphics card. I just put a Powercolor HD 6950 in it with room to spare. . I got it this morning and it's all done and running in it's new home by 2pm.

Cons: Thin metal, some small alignment issues. The fans that come with it 1 front and 1-140 mm rear don't move much air. The finish on the case shows fingerprints quite easily. Not enough to remove any eggs. We are talking about a case I got for 31 dollars so I expect things to be less than the cases we use for our prime builds.

Overall Review: I got this for a quick build for a friend. He bought the 6950 vid card from me ans his case could not fit the card. I offered to move him into a new case. He did not want anything to pricey and this fit the bill. All in all if you need a case for a build and cost is an issue this will do it for you. Arrived in great condition with Egg saver shipping for free. Can't beat that.

Needed for some time3/26/2013 4:47:30 PM

Pros: Decent quality, easy to work with if you know your way around a PSU unit. The unit is well made and the plugs work decently. The instructions are straight forward with the only con instruction wise is the tiny print. The saving grace here as always is using the web to find all the help you would need to get yourself coached up in using the device if your not ready to begin with. Even some you tube vids to guide you along. I know there is one that is very good from the guys at motherboards.org Sorry but the rules here say no links but they are so easy to find it's all good.

Cons: None really, It's a tool for someone who needs to trouble shoot power supply's.

Overall Review: Basic instruction is you hook the proper PSU leads up to the tester and then press the test button for a specified period of time and read the results. You then just repeat the process a few more times to gather the rest of the readings. A basic understanding of what kind of readings you are looking for is all that is needed for success.

Wonderful PSU3/23/2013 9:38:25 PM

Pros: High quality, modular, thermal fan only turns on when it reaches certain temp. 80+ Gold certified. Single +12v rail with 70A. Big time Warranty of 7 years and with Corsair no part registration needed just proof of purchase and New Egg always has that stored here for us just a click away. I got this PSU as I am going to an SLI setup by adding another EVGA GTX 670 4GB FTW card and seeing as I have several case fans, fan controller, DVD burner, Blue Ray burner, SSD, 2 storage conventional drives etc etc I wanted some extra juice beyond what my Antec 620 could supply. This is going to be the system core for the next couple years at least. SLI and 3 monitors are getting closer. Intel I5-3570 @4.5 GHZ CM Hyper 212 EVO ASrock Z77 Extreme 4 16GB Kingston Hyper-X 1600 DDR 3 EVGA Geforce GTX 670 4GB FTW G-Skill Phoenix III 120GB SSD WD 1TB Caviar Black 7200 64mg cache WD 1TB Caviar Blue 7200 64mg cache ASUS 24X DVDRW Pioneer Internal BD Writer (BDR-207DBK) Corsair HX850 Modular PSU HP Pavillion 27xi IPS Panel

Cons: None that I can find or see. It's not my first Corsair. All the quality is there I expect. Only con I ave is they started a rebate a few days after I purchased but oh well can't win them all. Buy it with confidence.

Overall Review: Always go for quality when you buy a power supply. Corsair, Seasonic are 2 of the best. Many spend hundreds of dollars on high end parts and cheap out when it comes to the cornerstone of the system. Don't risk your high dollar system by using low end power. Corsair makes buying power supply's just as fun as other high end parts by giving you a great experience with high end packaging, storage bag for cables and felt bag for the PSU, cable ties and a nice case badge. Power supply's can be sexy to ;) Some classify as semi modular as the motherboard 20+ plug, 2 PCI express leads and the CPU motherboard lead are hard wired. I don't see it that way. Even if those leads are made modular they have to be used anyway so whats the sense they may as well be hard wired from the git go.
