This is a wonderful card for gamers on a budget
Pros: This is a wonderful card for gamers on a budget, with performance falling between the 1060 and the 1070. Far more than adequate to play any titles I've thrown at it, including the latest Tombraider game. It doesn't have the 20-series ray tracing, of course, but just how much is that extra bit of eye candy worth to you? To me, games are drop dead gorgeous nowadays without it; I started gaming in the DOOM and Quake (1) days.
Overall Review: Highly recommended if you want a QUALITY product with ball-bearing fans.
This drive died in six months
Pros: This drive died in six months. I was so disgusted I never bothered exchanging it.
Cons: Junk. Absolute junk.
Overall Review: Don't buy this unless you want all the reliability of a toilet paper sailing ship in a rainstorm...
Works great
Pros: My needs are a little different than most; I use the drive primarily for weekly backups around 200-250GB/week, in very, very large VM .7z archives for the most part. The Toshiba can handle a 100MB/s average write rate when you are copying under Windows 10 with a proper FUNCTIONING USB 3.1 port. (It turns out my previous poor review was due to static-nuked front ports.)
Cons: None that I can detect; my previously reported issues of it "taking itself offline" were due to a failed set of front USB ports zapped one too many times by static over the winter. It works fine in the rear USB 3.1 port, and is one seriously speedy drive.
Overall Review: I hope this drive has the longevity to go with its speed. Both my last Seagate and my last WD failed before their warranties were even up; I didn't want replacements of unreliable hardware and tossed them.
Fair value for the money
Pros: Relatively cheap and shipped within a matter of days from within Canada.
Cons: Clips are far too tight and would short out most NVMe drives; I think most people will end up using the bands as I did.
Overall Review: Sure you can get the same parts direct from China - in 6-8 weeks instead of 2-5 days. :)
Easy installation, faster than my 6600 IOPS NVMe drive
Pros: Noticeably faster booting VMs, due to extra 10-15% read rate over my old 6600iops NVMe drive. Hefty cooler
Cons: Need a lot of clearance for the cooler; I had to shuffle NVMe drives to find a slot with enough overhead for it (the others have cards installed over them.)
Overall Review: I always recommend and trust Corsair and Crucial for my memory needs.
Very easy setup, long runtime
Pros: Even with a 12-core AMD box loaded down with software and VMs, I can run for about 20-30 minutes according to the Tripp Lite software. Note that you DON'T get the critical auto-shutdown features UNLESS you use Tripp Lite's software; Windows just flat out doesn't go there - it just turns your desktop into a laptop as far as it is concerned.
Cons: Real glad they had a healthy young delivery guy bring it to my door - with dual cells, it is a heavy beast.
Overall Review: Highly recommended. Why pay a premium for other brands when you can get quality product for less?
Nice little unit, and quickly delivered
I had a spare power adapter laying around, so when I saw this unit at 30-40 dollars less than units with power adapters, I jumped on it. I don't expect issues - I'm not using it as a portable device, so it doesn't get bumped around, and there is no reason to expect an industry standard chipset to fail any sooner in this unit than in any one else's they're used in.
Package arrived early but incomplete and missing items
I thought I was taking a risk ordering from this place, and I was right. First and last time, even if they ever do ship the CAT6 cable I PAID for that they didn't ship... I don't have time to mess around with fixing vendors mistakes. I have a business to tend to and a job to work.
Quick delivery, considering how long it takes to get half way across the country
Certainly reliable and as promised.
