Pros: Great sound, great features, easy to use and set up, solid, hasn't broken yet. Has a plethora of settings to tweak, which I appreciate. Plays from Android phones via USB fine. Very basic navigation. Has many different preset options to switch through for TV, digital video, music and gaming.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: I bought this (because it was dirt cheap - thanks Newegg) because my aging HT in a box needed to be replaced. I also wanted it to simplify all of the device connections, so having 4 HDMI units going in and 1 HDMI out to TV is incredibly helpful. Yes component isn't upscaled to HDMI, but it's not a big deal. I also bought this over the network versions because of all of the bad press regarding Onkyo's firmware issues. I decided a simple machine that doesn't need firmware upgrades is good enough. Streaming can be done through a Roku or something anyway. So with that said - it's simple (with the ability to get complicated if you need it to), and it works, and it produces a fine amount of sound for my medium sized TV room.
It's true, they stink
Pros: Carrying pouch, splitter, over the ear doodads, extra earbud covers.
Cons: They sound bad. Muffled, no highs, boomy bass. Unrealistic reproduction of sound. Wire length is an inch or so too short.
Overall Review: I really feel sorry for anyone that pays $70 for these things. They will be nice as a backup and for extra parts. On promo it is worth it in that regard. I swear you can get better sound at the dollar store though.
Tiny, unique engineering adds up to better than my broken one
Pros: Highly portable, looks nice (shiny red and black gloss), place to store nano receiver, silent wheel scrolling, and power-down when idle. Oh and the little travel bag is a nice bonus - though kind of useless.
Cons: Uncomfortable to hold (too small, point edge of rubber grip on the front right rubs against my ring finger annoyingly), strange click action, DPI switching doesn't appear to work on Linux Mint, or it's effect is not noticeable.
Overall Review: I bought this because my old one broke, and it was on sale. I didn't expect it to be so tiny. I like it in the sense that it was cheap and it works whereas the one it replaced was driving me nuts because the left click wasn't functioning correctly. I am a lot less nuts now. Overall, I don't like this mouse though. I gave it four stars because it works, it fits the description, and the battery compartment which holds the nano receiver is different but not a bad idea. It's too uncomfortable to use as a desktop mouse. It might be great for an HTPC or laptop for those who do travel a lot...or my 7 y/o daughter's tiny hands.
It makes my toast
Pros: It's compact and attractive. It toasts evenly. I like the mechanical timer.
Cons: Not great for baking or broiling
Overall Review: It's amazing how critical people get with their toaster reviews. I will admit it is not worth the full price, but at the 67% off I got it at it's suitable. The broiler pan was dented from during shipping and handling. As a nod to Newegg (and UPS)...this was at my door the next day from NJ to MA for free. Nice.
