OC's to 2666, no fuss, no muss... sorta

Pros: Plugged (2nd kit) into a stable machine (Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1) , ran XMP and bam, running at 2666.
Cons: First kit arrived with hard clear plastic shards wedged between the heat spreaders and the PCB. Picked them out and plugged in the sticks... MEMTEST passed OK, but the machine would BSOD after a few hours work. No rhyme nor reason, any slot, any combination. Plugged the old sticks back in (same manufacturer!) and everything returned to normal. RMA'd the kit with Newegg and got a new kit a week later, everything is stable (I'm writing this review, aren't I?).
Overall Review: Bad stuff happens! Bad hardware doesn't phase me, as long as there's good customer service behind it: Newegg RMA was perfect! This ain't my first return for defective hardware, likely won't be the last. I'm satisfied with both the process and thus with the product. Would buy again.
7 years of not so trouble free service

Pros: Relatively quiet when new. Pretty blue light. Excellent cable length, with solid connectors. The mesh wire harness was a nice touch for me. It did last me 7 years...
Cons: ... before I decided enough was enough. It cooked a premium G...byte mobo, and almost blew up a second. By the end the fan had become extremely noisy especially given that it was advertised as being quiet.
Overall Review: In hindsight, this PSU has always been dodgy. It was the best I could afford at the time and had the lengthy cabling I needed for an open-style spider case. It was responsible for blowing up a flagship top-of-the-line G...byte mobo. When installed in a lesser machine it was adequate albeit sometimes flaky (again hindsight being 20/20). With 7 a year run I got my return on the initial investment but it cost me way too much time, troubleshooting, equipment and of course money... can't say anything really good otherwise. I really wish it had failed outright and up front.
Nice monitor, bright, and rich colours!

Pros: - 32 inches gives me the real estate I need to work on multiple documents at a time (27" didn't quite cut it). - The brightness and colours are amazing, even in a brightly lit room, after lots of tweaking of course. - It has all the connectors I could possibly need for my various machines, new and old (D-Sub, DVI, HDMI, Display Port). - A nice surprise is the built-in 4-port USB 3.0 hub! I hadn't seen this in the specs when I bought it. - This is a 32" beast, so the easy-clip system on the stand is inspired! And the stand is fully adjustable, which is a must for me. - ... and... no dead/bright pixels, YAY! Although it's only been 48 hours, so time will tell.
Cons: - Set up is a bit of a pain... you have been warned. There are certainly plenty of options, but getting everything just right takes some work. Plug and play this ain't. This is, however, a minor quibble. - A more major quibble is that displayed fonts are hit & miss, and more so on the Web on all browsers (Word and PPT look quite fine, so that the ?!?!). Some fonts look perfect, others look washed out and uneven, whether at native resolution or not. Setting to 60Hz manually with Windows display adapter properties DOES help quite a bit. Running the Windows Cleartype wizard (or turning it off) doesn't seem to fix anything. Various interfaces & cables don't change anything either. (So... -1 egg, sorry). - To be fair, I've only been trying to sort this out for 2 days, between working & playing. Will follow-up if/when I find a final solution. It's not bothering me enough to send it back, but it is strange and worthy of mention. ***UPDATE*** Feb 11th 2017: The 5th egg is back on! The font issue has been fixed to my satisfaction, thusly: Set to 60 Hz, native res, then on the OSD: Gamma 2.2, VividPixel = OFF or set to 25 at most!!! and Sharpness at 40. I'm liking the way it looks now... so other than spending the time to set everything right, there are no cons. I'm leaving my original text intact above as reference.
Overall Review: I'm a bit of an ASUS fan, I have the 27" equivalent, the PB278Q which I love and is for all my intents and purposes perfect in every way, at 5 egg. I was hoping for the same experience with this 32" monitor. It's close, but not quite, hence the -1 egg. This being said, if I'd never had the other monitor to compare to and to spoil me, I would likely see this 32" as perfectly acceptable. This is hooked up to a work machine, therefore I'll be spending most of my days in front of it. Final word: 32" & amazing picture vs. some dodgy fonts, 32" wins out. Also, I'm confident I'll sort out the font issue eventually... (and I did fix it, see the Feb 11 update in "cons" above).
Excellent drive, blisteringly fast.

Pros: Did I say it was fast? Including POST, will bring up Win10 and is ready in roughly 10 to 15 seconds. OB installation: meticulous installation & prep + Intel drivers + correct MB settings = NO issues, not one!
Cons: Expensive! But then it's supposed to be an enterprise class drive, so I don't mind the price IF it lives up to it. Time will tell.
Overall Review: 6 months use as of this writing in a business (and gaming!) machine that is powered on more or less 24/7. I would recommend and would purchase again. System: ASUS Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1, i7-6700K, Corsair LPX DDR4 x32GB, Corsair AX760i PSU & H100i GTX Cooling, Intel 750 400GB SSD, WD Black 4TB, and a GTX970 Strix.
Best of both worlds.

Pros: Flawless. Perfect bridge between old and new tech. Has all the legacy hookups you could ever want and is thoroughly up to date with new enough stuff.
Cons: No cons!
Overall Review: I'd say pay attention to updating the BIOS, give it a good solid power supply, pay close attention to the QVL (esp if you want to play with OC) and... have fun! I needed all the old stuff (Firewire, IDE, PATA) as well as new (SATA & eSATA) and a smattering of reusable SLI, AM2 and DDR2 bits... This was a perfect emergency replacement for a cooked premium SLI board... in fact I never really missed my old board, which is saying quite a bit at this board being less than 1/3 the price (OK, almost a year after, but still). In fairness a dodgy power supply was probably crippling the old board before it cooked. Nevertheless, I love this Asus board and have never looked back. And if you need some legacy hookups, this is it!
Heavy duty

Pros: This is an excellent, heavy cable, with good, solid connectors. Works great for my application.
Cons: No cons, I like it! Be warned, however, a heavy cable ssuch as this can put stress on the equipment connectors if not properly supported.
Overall Review: I wanted a flat cable, so that I could tie-wrap and run the cable cleanly along the back of a visible rack. This also meant that making corners required planning and and proper twisting over a distance. If in a tight space, get something else... it'll need at least 1/2 inch turn radius.
