Great Case - Horrible Manual

Antec P182 Gun Metal Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec P182 Gun Metal Black 0.8mm cold rolled steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Solid case with attention to detail, lots of extras, and unique cable-managing system. Roomy, great air flow, and great sound-insulation. Would I buy it again? In a heartbeat!

Cons: Horrible manual! Forget trying to use it in the build. No pictures. Very limited explanations. My door only opened to 180 degrees, not the 270 degrees that it's supposed to.

Overall Review: Check out the reviews at Techguage, Mad Shrimps, and Tweaknews for detailed photos, and tips on how to mount the PSU, drives, etc, and see their approach to cable management. Unless you plan to remove the lower cage fan, your choice of PSUs will be critical. My approach - hard drives in bottom cage, removed the middle cage and put an extra fan in its front. End result - lots of room for cables and the video card.

Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD2500KS 250GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: I ordered them from newegg

Cons: Ordered 2 hard drives. The first arrived DOA. The 2nd formatted fine, but the OS install kept choking. It took hours to figure out that the 2nd hard drive was bad. When I used the same OS installation disk and optical drive on one of my old EIDE hard drives, the installation ran smoothly.

Overall Review: Can't use WD's DataLifeguard boot disk with SATA optical drives. WD didn't provide drivers for them. I had to temporarily install an old IDE burner to boot the CD and format the hard drives. Or, should I say, the hard drive. One was DOA.The 2nd one failed within 24 hours! Have used WD drives for many years. What happened? Never again!
