Good little fan.
Pros: Moves a good amount of air. Adjustable arm. Easy to install. Cool blue LEDs. Not too loud (I don't think so, anyway.)
Cons: Arm isn't strong enough to hold the fan in position if you try to raise the fan above the mount point. Feels cheap.
Overall Review: I'm using this to cool the heatsink covering the VRMs to the left of the CPU socket (Asus Sabertooth 990FX board) since my CPU cooler doesn't direct any air over them. The temps for that area go down roughly 20c with this thing blowing on the heatsinks set on max speed. I've recently ordered a second one to blow air over the RAM.
Won't post at
Pros: They're nice looking and not enormous.
Cons: I have them running at just a hair over 1800MHz, as they have never allowed me to POST at the advertised speed. I'm using a 3770k CPU on a Z77 motherboard.
Overall Review: I'm well past the return window, but I just wanted to warn others.
Amazing case... IF you need it.
Pros: This is an absolutely incredible case. It has almost everything you could want in one. Plenty of space for hard drives/SSDs, integrated fan controller, lots of space for cable management and excellent cooling. And it looks cool, tool.
Cons: This case is HUGE and HEAVY! DO NOT get this case unless you know you need one this big. If you get it just because it looks cool, you'll end up regretting your decision when you need to move your computer.
Overall Review: Fantastic case, IF you need it.
Amazing chip.
Pros: Beats the ever-loving tar out of my AMD FX 8150. That chip was overclocked to 4.6GHZ and scored 7.40 in Cinebench. This chip, when overclocked to the same 4.6GHZ gets a score of about 9.32. That's insane. It's a great performer, I can't really say it better than that. If you want the most modern Intel chip available and plan to overclock, this is the chip for you.
Cons: It does run hotter than the previous i7 chips once you really start overclocking. Make sure you have a beefy cooler.
Fast, reliable.
Pros: It's fast, it's reliable, it's an SSD. The speeds are as advertised (using a 6gbps SATA port) and I've had no issues with it to speak of. I'd highly recommend this.
Cons: Expensive per GB.
Good value.
Pros: Good performance for the money. Overclocks well. Works in AM3 and AM3+ motherboards.
Cons: Not as fast as modern Intel offerings.
Overall Review: For the money, this is a good processor. I have mine overclocked to 4.1ghz at 1.45 volts. Get a 7.6 Processor sub score in Windows 7 64bit at this overclock. At this point, you're likely better off waiting on the upcoming FX "Bulldozer" chips. If you absolutely have to have a new CPU now and you want to go AMD, this is a good option. Especially if you put it in an AMD3+ motherboard so you have the option to drop an FX "Bulldozer" chip in later.
