GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 980Ti 6GB WINDFORCE 3X OC EDITION, GV-N98TWF3OC-6GD
GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 980Ti 6GB WINDFORCE 3X OC EDITION, GV-N98TWF3OC-6GD

Pros: It's one of the cheaper cards on market its capable of 4K on medium setting or better (pending on game) decent overall value

Cons: overclocking, I can get the card to hang around 1450(gpu) outside of benchmarks. some of my problems I know come from win10 drivers but still. when the fans ramp up to 70% load I have flash back of 80mm fans going the distance. The backplate pulls allot of heat but also holds onto it, would have been nice to see mild grooves for heat dissipation. but to be fair I haven't seen any vendor do anything like that.

Overall Review: I use a 540 AIR with 4 120mm fans and a 140mm for my AIO, two intake and two are top venting. the amount of outright hot to the feel air venting out of the top of my case actually surprised me. I wasn't expecting it to be a low heat card but in the same right didn't expect that much heat generation either. Just realize you're getting a card that gets pretty toasty and have the air volume to keep it cool(ish). Also keep in mind that the backplate gets really hot as well, you might not want to put your PCI-E ssd above it (if your board has a x4 there)

ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 760 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

Pros: quiet low power demand quality heat sink size software (Asus & Nvidia) never reaches 80C w/ room temp from 72/76F ( Custom fan profile )

Cons: Not a con against Asus but I do really wish Nvidia cards in general came with more than 2GB frame buffer and an array of back I/O. for instance it would be nice to have a card come in a couple different flavors like three HDMI connectors or three display port, that one wouldn't need to use converters but both of those are more annoyances than anything. the cards still function well despite them.

Overall Review: I purchased a pair of these, I plan on creating a 3x1 display array latter down the road ( and will now wait till G Sync is in a wide array of monitors ) and knew no matter the card a sole card would have a problem pushing out good frames on three 1080p displays. I actually had to make a profile to limit the fps in skyrim because I was pushing 120+fps and was getting some crazy physic glitching. Other thing worth noting is that I was a long time ATI user, as in like eight or more years and when I installed my first one I was impressed on how much crisper and cleaner everything looked, this includes 2D I hope this helps some one make their choice, they are really great cards.

Great GPU

XFX Double D FX-787A-CDBC Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Black Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card
XFX Double D FX-787A-CDBC Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition Black Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Quiet very over clock-able Reasonable Temps Over Volt Controls (via CCC) Attractive & clean design

Cons: no self cleaning fan (not really a con)

Overall Review: I have this card over clocked to GPU 1185 Mem. and Power bump of 6% not having a self cleaning fan isn't honestly a con, I cant test this to its fullest because I am running it on a old system (Q6600 socket 755) so it has great legacy support. I've bought plenty of ATI cards over the years, and this is by far the best performance per dollar card I've purchased to date. This should go without saying by now but this is a full sized card, if you have a small case you might have some issues.

good drive

Western Digital WD VelociRaptor WD3000HLFS 300GB 10000 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: this drive is fast, scores good in SiSoftware's Sandra. will be purchasing several more for upcoming builds. oh and quiet, dont know what the other guy was talking about.

Cons: honestly none that i can think of.

Overall Review: its a 10k drive dont complain about price! i have mine partitioned in half for a primary drive on my current system.
