Great sound

Pros: Great sound, good for gaming, fp connection. I primarily got this after the creative debacle, It sounds miles better than my extrememusic as well, can't complain at all. Don't buy creative!
Cons: requires 4pin floppy power connector which is unadvertised, and it doesn't come with a molex to floppy adapter, my comp still has a floppy for the installation of raid drivers and for the purposes of flashing my bios, so my connection was in use; I had to order an adapter for the floppy power connector.
Overall Review: I want to say again that the sound is excellent, just to remind you. I'm so surprised ASUS could put out a really good sound card, somehow I thought this may be a sideline and the products would be less than an enthusiasts item, I wasn't convinced of ASUS' credentials when it came to sound, I was absolutely stunned with the sound...I didn't think they had any interest in high fidelity audio, glad I bought it.
Overheating

Pros: Performs exactly like an 8800gt, which performs well.
Cons: Overheating and artifacts. It actually clocked itself down a couple of times during the two weeks I had it and there were periodic artifacts. I think it could still have been useful even at the reduced clocks, but who wants a card that's right on the edge of really overheating? It was the Asus smartdoctor utility bundled with the card that clocked it downwards to prevent damage.
Overall Review: The heatsink looks like it may be an aesthetic item, not actually very good for cooling. the fins of the heatsink are thick, where the plastic adornment attaches to the heatsink, the fins of the heatsink are about 4mm thick, I'd have to actually look at the heat properties of copper to know for certain, but it seems like that might retain a bit more heat than something with more surface area than volume.
Good value, excellent performance

Pros: Good performance for the price, neat and well designed so that it can go out in public easily. Games with modern games pretty easily, RTX 4050 is good, but it could be higher powered. The CPU is really good also, but only eight cores, sixteen threads, good value, excellent performance.
Cons: Could use some more USB ports.
Overall Review: Laptops still need external mice and keyboards for at home use. THis is not a con so much as an acknowledgement of what is. A good gaming keyboard (Hyper X alloy 65 and Mionix Naos Pro, plus Hyper X Cloud Alpha headset, steelseries Stratus Duo gamepad) and other peripherials rounds out this as a good buy for gaming at home. Could use more USB ports, Two usb C (one of those is usb 4) and two old usb 3.2 is too few with most peripherials using older usb 2, 3.2 etc, but it's still good with a solid gpu and cpu. Definitely a good computer with some modest limitations.
Well thought out, been wondering why headset makers haven't used this formula before

Pros: So the headset is high quality, and I'm pretty impressed with the headphones and the headphones and mic are clear. The weird thing about them is they realized the value of the 1/8 in audio jack standard, and implemented it intelligently. The mic can be pulled off via a 1/8 in audio jack, so for those who use a standing mic or simply want to do without. also the wiring is well thought out. With the adjustment of the 1/8 in audio standard to include now both input and output on a single jack, they've implemented a cabling system that should work no matter what configuration you have. If you have a pair of 1/8 in audio jacks for input and output, it comes with an adapter for that. If you have both audio input and output on a single jack it can do that too. This has been a long overdue configuration for audio products. Though Kingston doesn't have a really good proprietary speaker to their name at the time of this writing, it's still clear for voice communication and gaming, and the audio is sort of good.
Overall Review: See pros
Some good some bad

Pros: IPS, the richness of the color and viewing angles are a step above the older asus monitor it replaces. HDMI with 3.5mm audio out: I really like this, I have a set of speakers I really like, and the speakers often crammed into monitors aren't worth it, or they only have an optical out, this is the best of both worlds for me. Also see cons.
Cons: Like many Asus monitors, the color isn't perfectly accurate, but that's the trade off you pay for the price. Doesn't report 1920x1080 as a supported resolution but does report 1080p: AMD defaults their gpus to underscan by 10% when using TV resolutions, and setting this to 1920x1080 might work around this issue. Sound output could use some amplification. Somehow they lose a good amount of signal strength it seems, either that or the integrated realtek on my AMD card lacks volume. The volume is turned all the way up on both the system software and the monitor. It is loud enough, but could be better with some small amplification.
Overall Review: I hadn't used an IPS panel previously, and I am ultimately glad I bought this monitor, but it's color could definitely be better, but for the price it's a steal, a huge improvement over many of the inexpensive TN panels out there. The 1.8in/3.5mm audio jack was a selling point for me, because I didn't want to run an spdif into another sound device, nor did I want 2 watt speakers integrated into the monitor (also the monitor is slightly smaller than some others because there were no integrated speakers, which is nice), that were inaudible or tinny or similar, but there should be a small +4db amplification built into that audio out, would improve this monitor concept a mile or more.
It's a good mouse

Pros: It does what it advertises. The macro programming, which is really the feature you're looking for if you're thinking about buying this mouse, works and works well. three modes, all of them have worked for me for each in all of the applications I've tried using it for. I never use the full 4000 dpi, usually have it set for about 1400, the four pre-programmed slots are sort of useful, but they are rarely adjusted, and tend to be set at similar values.
Cons: The only problem I've had with this mouse, is that the scroll wheel speed needed to be adjusted for weapon changing in fps games. I was used to single rotational unit=weapon change, but at low speed settings for wheel rotation, it won't work, you need to set it up higher. Don't like the shape personally, but my ideal mouse isn't made, so it gets no points off for that. The aesthetic isn't my favorite either, but it really doesn't matter too much.
Overall Review: I'm very happy with this mouse, I think it's the best one I've ever owned. I didn't order this from newegg, prior to it's availability in The U.S. I ordered it from an Austrailian e-tailer who shipped to the U.S. The macro programming function was too tempting for me, and paid to have it shipped here, cost about 75.00 USD shipped, lucky you :).
This is a great item, I'm willing to wait an extra day for the shipping to come through
The title sort of says it...Pretty much a spectacular item, with some slowness of shipping or whatever, wasn't that bad and worth it. I'd buy another from them in a second. Five star product, four star shipping.
