Good Bargain

Seagate 600 Series 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) ST240HM000
Seagate 600 Series 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) ST240HM000

Pros: -Looks nice, not a lot of branding or stickers and neutral color (black) -Good deal on sale -Fast

Cons: -no retail packaging, I received my in a plain brown box with the little black holders for the SSD. -no SATA cable included -no mounting hardware included

Overall Review: I don't know if any other SSDs come with mounting hardware or SATA cables but I would have liked them. I ended up going to another local retailer to buy the cable because I didn't know it lacked that from Newegg. If I had known I would have bought a cable along with my SSD. I can't fault the SSD for my lack of knowledge though. I also don't know if this was because I purchased the drive on Black Friday on sale. The drive is quick. It drastically improved my Windows 7 boot time from the 1TB Seagate I had before this one. No noise that I can tell, no moving parts. I hope the longevity is good for this drive. So far, I would buy it again.

16GB!!!

CORSAIR DOMINATOR 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMP16GX3M4A1333C9
CORSAIR DOMINATOR 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3 1333 Desktop Memory Model CMP16GX3M4A1333C9

Pros: -No dead sticks in package -They look great

Cons: -The heatsinks aren't comfortable to push the RAM in the slot but they aren't there for comfort, they're there for cooling.

Overall Review: I had to update my motherboards BIOS for the system to boot with the new RAM. Works great after the update.

Good Buy

G.SKILL Trident 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-4GBTD
G.SKILL Trident 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL8D-4GBTD

Pros: Works as advertised. This is the second system I have built using G.Skill RAM and will continue to use them for my systems. I like them because of the price but also because I have yet to have any problems. I have also built a system for a friend using this RAM and it was just as good.

Cons: None. I haven't tried OC'ing with this computer but for everyday use it hasn't let me down.

Overall Review: I've used G.Skill mainly for the price difference between it and the other more well known brands like Corsair and the like. Not saying it's any better, it just fits my budget.
