Poor Experience

Pros: Features, ASUS reputation
Cons: Board came with faulty chipset, RMA experience is not good for a $285 board :( Support is poor and very frustrating..
Overall Review: I purchased this board for a 4770k build. 32GB of Patriot CAS 10 1866 ram, H60 water cooler, etc.. Completed the build and the system freezes momentarily once every 4-8 hours of use. Spent a month and a half reinstalling windows with various drivers, swapping out PSU, graphics card, ram and even got a new hard drive.. Use it a day and it freezes. Countless trips to local retailer.. So I call support, which is spotty, sometimes very helpful, sometimes whoa its bad. Im striving to be polite and punctual with information. I RMA and they find a chipset is bad (never found out which one). After fixing still arent happy and send me a used replacement board. To get this info, even if you log into their RMA site, took calls with long holds and varying service... I receive the board, post it and there is my custom logo I uploaded to bios.. Apparently they sent me back my original board. I called in and after the upteenth 15 min hold, the lady assumes they possibly sent me the old board.. She offers to ship me a replacement, she called "Advanced with Tracking" and when I receive it, I am to ship mine back. GREAT, 5 min of hold and her typing later, and she changes that to I need to call in and if and when they find a replacement, possibly in 2 days possibly 10 or more, we will cross ship the product leaving me without a board for another week.. The first RMA experience took 2 weeks. Now I am to call and see when they have a replacement board.. I regret not returning the board to local retailer in the first month, I assumed it was drivers or another componenet. I now plan to buy a new board, RMA this one and when I get it back, sell it.. I don't really have the $300 to float tho until financial aid comes in.. Super Bummed as this is the priciest board I have ever purchased.
