A Solid Deal

32" HDTV Ready 1366x768 450 cd/m2 1000:1, SRS WOW Sound, Swivel Stand, LCD TV
32" HDTV Ready 1366x768 450 cd/m2 1000:1, SRS WOW Sound, Swivel Stand, LCD TV

Pros: I bought this TV about 6 months ago and have been very happy with it. The picture is clear, the controls are straight forward, picture in picture but the sound is only fair. One of the reasons I got this set was for the PC input. I wired up an old laptop so I could surf the web in the living room and it has been very convenient with the kids.

Cons: As much of a good value as this is there are a couple weak spots. I initially got some ghosting but when I checked, it turned out I didn't have well shielded TV cables. I got better cables and the ghosting went away. Not the TVs fault and this may not be an issue with digital cable. The sound is odd in SRS mode, which is kind of a simulated surround mode, it gives off an odd reverb. This may not be an issue if you are running it through a stereo. The biggest problem is the remote, my wife particularly hates it. You can't point it at much of an angle or the signal isn't picked up. Also, the input has to be fast when entering in a channel. If you plan to enter 58 but are slow it takes the first number and you get channel 5. It may not seem like an issue but it is annoying, granted a universal remote would probably solve it.

Overall Review: All in all a rock solid value for the price.

Works well so far

Worx 16-Inch 3.5-HP 14.5-Amp Electric Chain Saw (WG303, )
Worx 16-Inch 3.5-HP 14.5-Amp Electric Chain Saw (WG303, )

Pros: Easy to operate and powerful enough for what I needed to do. A lot quieter then a gas saw. No gas to worry about. I lost a number of 8 inch oak limbs in a storm and needed a saw. I debated between an electric and gas and settled on the electric for it's ease of use. I have had a gas saw in the past but always found it a pain to use, never knowing if it would start or not. I used it about 3 hours as soon as I unboxed it and read the instructions. It worked right out of the box and it had no trouble with the 8 inch branches I was cutting. The chain stayed sharp and tight the whole time I was cutting. I would consider taking down trees up to 16 inches with this but could see wanting something more powerful when cutting that size tree into logs.

Cons: Did not come with any chain oil. There was grease/oil residue on the handle which had leaked through the box when it was delivered but did not amount to anything. It has a cord so there are times that is a hassle.

Overall Review: The saw seemed about as powerful as other 30cc 14 inch gas saws I have used. For $60 this was a good deal and even if it never worked again I feel like I got my money's worth.
