Rocking on and on.

ASUS M2R32-MVP AM2+/AM2 AMD 580X CrossFire ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M2R32-MVP AM2+/AM2 AMD 580X CrossFire ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: So I bought this mobo in 2008 and it was my primary gaming system till 2011. It works great and is very reliable. in 2011 I retired from gaming duty and it's been running 24/7 as my dedicated server. It runs Linux containers and KVM virtual machines (proxmox) all day every day. The onboard SATA controller has not failed and all the ram slots work. Everything is awesome on this board. Hats off to the engineers at ASUS the fact that this board is still working 6 years later and relevant is nothing short of amazing.

Cons: the onboard NIC is tied to the PCI bus and is a little slow.

Overall Review: Thanks ASUS and Newegg. I know this is an old product but I had to say thanks.

C2G 54162 8.5in Mac-Compatible Mini DisplayPort 1.1 Male to DVI-D Female Adapter Cable
C2G 54162 8.5in Mac-Compatible Mini DisplayPort 1.1 Male to DVI-D Female Adapter Cable

Pros: It was kinda cheap. Does work with the Mac for adding an external display.

Cons: Does not work for AMD Eyefinity which is why I bought it.

Overall Review: It made me sad. I can't use my 3rd monitor till I get another adapter.

Durable, Cool, A bit slow on writes

TEAM 32GB T183 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive, Speed Up to 90MB/s (TT183332GF01)
TEAM 32GB T183 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Flash Drive, Speed Up to 90MB/s (TT183332GF01)

Pros: Looks Cool Magnetic so it doesn't get lost, Stacking multiple drives against each other looks awesome Bottle opener works Feels very rugged and hefty Works in Linux, and as boot devices Read speeds are very respectable Price is good

Cons: Write speeds are a bit slow IMHO @9.9Mb/sec Box opener is a bit of a stretch, It's not sharp at all nor is it deep enough to penetrate most boxes. Works better if you put a key-ring through there to keep the drive on a lanyard.

Overall Review: One of the coolest USB drives I have ever owned. It really does open beer well, and it's magnetic so I can stick it on my fridge. This thing is great at Lan party's! I bought 6 of these for serious work though. After formatting they are 28.91Gb out of 32Gb advertised that's respectable. Took off an egg because writes are kind of slow In my opinion (See benchmark below). Still a great drive at a great price. I'll update this review as these age. #hdparm -Tt /dev/sdb Timing cached reads: 19750 MB in 1.99 seconds = 9915.58 MB/sec Timing buffered disk reads: 254 MB in 3.01 seconds = 84.29 MB/sec #dd if=/dev/zero of=./largefile (Block Size)=8k count=10000 10000+0 records in 10000+0 records out 81920000 bytes (82 MB, 78 MiB) copied, 8.30776 s, 9.9 MB/s *Update* It's been about two years now. I'm still using these! I have managed to not lose any of them and out of the 6 I bought one has failed. It was during a read operation and it just stopped and was never recognized again. I'm attempting to RMA now. Additionally, I dropped one of these things outside in my driveway it rained and it was submerged in a puddle of mud for 3 days, then sun-dried and run over by my car a few times. It ended up in the lawn where I found it with the lawnmower the magnet made it easy to find at least. Anyhow I plugged it in and it still works!! I recovered all the data and have retired that one though. I'll be buying more of these! Thanks Team Group for a great drive!

Great Supply

Antec EarthWatts EA-650 GREEN 650W ATX12V v2.4 SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply - Intel Haswell Fully Compatible

Pros: Powers my system, Didn't explode, and quiet. This thing is great I run 4 3.5in 1tb Wd black Hdd's, 6 2.5in laptop drives, an HD 6870, i7-2600K, Tv Tuner, Killer Nic, 3x 140mm fans, 2x 120mm fans, 4x cold cathode tubes, 2x dvd burners. No issues whatsoever, it powers them all! been running 24/7 for 6 months mining bitcoins and playing games. Cables are long enough for a bottom mount PSU setup

Cons: Really there are none! It didn't come with a power cable, It's not supposed to so it's hardly a con just make sure you have one on hand.

Overall Review: It does run hotter than any of my previous supply's I do load it down though. I am nervous to add a 2nd video card for crossfire with all my drives going too. The 80 plus bronze holds true measured it myself.

Doh Linux

Hitachi GST Deskstar 5K3000 HDS5C3020ALA632 (0F12117) 2TB 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: These drives were cheep when I got them. I ordered 4 of them. They were packed well and NONE of them were DOA! They format well no errors or bad sectors. Lots of space! Overall a great buy and a good consumer level drive.

Cons: I really needed these drives to put into a Raid 5 array. I'm using Ubuntu 11.10 and set them up with MDADM the array is created fine but there is 1 drive that is faulted. Annoying but it should rebuild and make the array happy. But towards the end another drive drops out. The array has failed and I must start over. After 4 tries I gave up it must be the Hitachi Equivilent of Time-Limited Error Recovery. While not specified as a raid drive or an enterprise drive it does ruin my day. only docked 1 egg.

Overall Review: Overall a nice drive, Wait till the Flooding in Thailand stops then grab a few of these you won't be too disappointed.
