Great ram

Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Desktop Memory Model 996988
Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3L 1600 (PC3L 12800) Desktop Memory Model 996988

Pros: Runs great. Cool to the touch under stress testing w/ Prime95 Blend and max ram linx. Love the low voltage. Runs at 9-9-9-24 w/ 1T command rate @ 1.352v (my board doesn't have 1.35 flat for some reason lol. Plays beautifully with P67 Sandy Bridge chipsets and Windows 7 Professional x64.

Cons: the XMP profile doesn't work. If I leave absolutely everything ram related to auto and enable the xmp profile to see what it does, it runs at the rated 800mhz (dual data rate = 1600mhz) as listed but the timings appear as 9-10-10-25 w/ 1T Command Rate. Super easy fix, just disable XMP and manually set to DDR3-1600MHZ speed in UEFI or Bios and manually set timings to 9-9-9-24 1T. Super minor inconvenience that takes less than a minute to correct and you're off. Nothing worth taking an egg off for.

Overall Review: I haven't tried to overclock it much. My initial test was done by setting my ram to DDR3-1866 9-9-9-24 1T @ 1.4v and post test failed. 1.45v post passed and I booted in but crashed at about 30 minutes into Prime95 Blend. I have yet to contact Mushkin to ask what a safe max voltage will be but I am near 100% positive it can go higher, and more than likely up to 1.65v safely. Take note that with the P67 Sandy Bridge platform, extensive benchmarks suggest that any higher than DDR3 1600 Ram begins to see diminishing returns. The smallest diminishing return comes from 1866 so if you OC up to 1866 the performance will definitely be there. Any higher than 1866 and you'll begin to see extremely minimal performance increases. So this 1600 kit is perfect. ASUS VH226H Black 21.5" HDMI Widescreen 16:9 Full HD 1080P LCD Monitor 300 cd/m2 ASCR 12000:1 (1000:1) Built in Speakers

Pros: Monitor is amazing, bright, vibrant, solid on the blacks, no dead or stuck pixels that I can see. Don't let what people say about the speakers stop you, they are actually very solid speakers considering they're internal. I have my xbox 360 hooked up throught he vga and sound input, and it looks and sounds great, granted they have nothing on my 5.1 system, but that should be a given anyways. This monitor is definately a massive upgrade from my 15 inch max resolution 1024 x 768 lcd i just got rid of. No bleeding that I can see yet, and the splendid settings really arent that bad. So if you're not good at tuning your monitor the way you want it to look, the presets should do you fine. All in all, great monitor, awesome deal on the price, 1080p looks amazing.

Cons: Fingerprint smudges are sorta difficult to get off the screen, but a little windex and a dry rag fix that no problem. Emphasize on the LITTLE windex.

Overall Review: Nothing really. UPS was especially slow to deliver. The three day delivery turned into 5 after you take away christmas and the weekend, but it's still the holidays so it's understandable. It arrived perfect condition, no tears or large dents in the box. Overall, i'm EXTREMELY pleased with this monitor. Best deal out on 22" monitors right now in my opinion. Can't beat it.
