inaudible

Comments: I thought for the longest time that the fan wasn't working, mainly because my motherboard monitoring software didn't detect the fan running and every time I looked inside it didn't seem look like it either. Finally, I took off the case cover and got really really close because I thought it might be inoperative, and lo and behold, I heard a faint whisper! *Heavy* BLUE power supply along with beautiful color-speckled and sturdy blue cables make this puppy a feel-good every time I open up the case. I've had it for almost 2 months now with no regrets.
good value

Pros: Nice picture, good value, it's a Samsung. This is my first 'widescreen' LCD and I am satisfied with the picture quality. Based on my research, you will be hard pressed to find this monitor at this price anywhere else. If you watch a lot of movies on your computer, and are looking for a good value, look no further.
Cons: The auto adjust feature does not work with DVI. The user manual does not point this out, but the web support site does. One of the pros of owning a LCD is to take advantage of DVI... so this is a little annoying.
Overall Review: I had one pixel that goes in and out. It goes away if I press on the screen, other than that no dead pixies. To test the monitor I fired up The Big Lebowski. I had seen this movie about 20 times before, and I swear after watching it on this screen, I noticed some things I hadn't noticed before.
de¢ent board

Comments: This was my first build and it was fairly painless. I installed all of the drivers off the CD with no additional BIOS updates. It recognized all non-mobo hardware off the bat, including the SATA hard drive. The nvidia LAN driver and USB drivers do have to be installed off the CD though just in case you are wondering why Windows doesn't recognize your internet connection (if you have cable). Good price, plenty of connectors, nice fold-out glossy diagram, with bonus Firewire adapter and USB adapters...overall nice package. It did include a nifty screwdriver, but I didn't find it to be very useful on the install because it is too short and wide. You need a longer screwdriver that can reach places without rubbing against other things. My 3500+ Venice is nice and snug inside currently idling at 36C :-) Tks newegg for the efficient service!! Only gripes: 1) the pci-e x 16 video card pretty much wipes out the pci slot below it... (6600GT in this case) and 2) where are all the vendors that produce the pci-e x 1 adapters???
