Excellent Print Server

D-Link DP-300U Multi-Port Print Server RJ45 Two IEEE 1284 Parallel Ports USB 2.0 Port
D-Link DP-300U Multi-Port Print Server RJ45 Two IEEE 1284 Parallel Ports USB 2.0 Port

Pros: This is my second purchase of this device. My initial print server died after about 2 years of use after we moved and I had to set it up a second time with a different router and internet service. It took a while to finally determine that it was the print server and not something else. However, this is an excellent print server that works well under Windows 2K and XP. I have an older HP LaserJet 4P and an HP Office Jet K80xi. Both printers work great using the Parallel port mode. It was fairly easy to configure with the web utility provided. There aren't many devices like this one that handle 2 printers via non-USB mode with one power source. The price was also appropriate.

Cons: The only con that I could see for this print server was that there is no reset button. The device must be returned to the vendor for resetting. Fortunately, I have not had to do this. Make sure you keep your documentation in a place where you can easily find it.

Overall Review: I would purchase this device a third time if it stops working again.

So Far So Good

PowerColor Radeon HD 4670 1GB DDR3 AGP 8X Video Card AG4670 1GBK3-P
PowerColor Radeon HD 4670 1GB DDR3 AGP 8X Video Card AG4670 1GBK3-P

Pros: I was a little apprehensive about purchasing this video card, but there were not many cards left that still used the AGP slot and had on board memory greater that 512MB. I did not notice a significant difference is graphics speed from my previous card, but this card is largely for my daughters' computer. They are not heavy gamers. It appears to work well with Windows XP and the 400W supply on an ASUS mother board and cabinet.

Cons: None that I could see so far.

Overall Review: It was worth the price and saved me upgrading the motherboard/PC for now.
