Great for price but prepare to buy upgrade parts when ordering.1/6/2019 7:04:26 AM

Pros: Light weight, MX150 is perfect for mid range gaming. Averaging 6-7 hour battery life when traveling and web browsing. One of the best trackpads for sub 600 dollar PC. Have played a variety of mid level and indie games without issue. Single fan exhaust to back of laptop.

Cons: -Wish they simply included 8 gb of DDR4 ram as standard. -Temperature not to my liking causing fan to spool up under low load. -Opening the backpanel is a little hassle as they have 2 hidden screws and many plastic clips that you need to carefully pry open.

Overall Review: As title described, be ready to buy some upgrade parts. For me, 1 stick of Crucial 8GB Single DDR4 2400 MT/s (PC4-19200) DR x8 SODIMM 260-Pin Memory - CT8G4SFD824A for 50 dollars was immediate with intention to by a second stick in future. PC only has 1 copper heat pipe run between the MX150 and CPU. I re-applied the thermal paste with thermal grizzly kryonaught. This dropped temps 6-7C on idle and about 9C on full 100% load. This added significant battery life as the cpu/gpu fan barely runs on web browsing or using microsoft office. I decided to keep the optane and 1 TB which seems to do a pretty great job after opening your software and few times. Boot times are similar to SSD with optane memory in use. My laptop also needed to connect to wired connections for some work applications so a usb to RJ45 adapter was also necessary.

Great Chip for a Great Price4/10/2015 5:01:12 PM

Pros: Decided to make the switch from AMD after years of extreme cpu budget making. Got chip on a deal from newegg. Runs cool. Have a Nepton 120xl with only 1 fan mounted. Idles at 25C and maxes at 44C on prime95 for 12 hours.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: Have not tried the integrated graphics but its a plus that its there.

Great Card/ Horrible MIR7/16/2011 7:39:55 PM

Pros: Card is great. Oced up to 840 core clock. Runs well and does exactly as I wanted. Max Temp is 62C in my rig.

Cons: Nothing so far wrong with card.

Overall Review: Like always, Mail in rebates are a flip of a coin. I mailed off the UPC cut out with my name, model number and words online(had to read fine print on zotac site on this) on the 24th of June. It has been close to a month. My zotac account still shows pending and I'm a highly doubtful the MIR will ever be made. I expected this.. Just a FYI for everyone to remember MIR can be a joke. I'm not upset. I knew this could be a issue going in.

Great potential and speed10/27/2010 6:00:03 PM

Pros: Bout this card a month ago for 169.99 (no rebate) with free shipping. Performance is great. Card stays amazing cool. At default graphics settings I idle at 27C and max at 42C. Nvidia states this card can go up to 102C without harm. That is just amazing potential for this card. I personally cannot hear the fan in 2d graphics mode and with default setup could barely hear it in my games. Big thing about 460's is overclocking and this does it easily with EVGA precision. I easily put it to the 460 768mb super clock edition settings of 763 core clock, 1526 shader clock, and 1808 memory clock and now idle at 30C and max at 51C with the fanspeed set to 60% and custom profile up to 80%. Great card and price to performance in the this market area can't be beat even with new competition out.

Cons: No cons for me. Does exactly what I hoped for and more

Good cheap case10/19/2010 4:46:23 PM

Pros: I bought this because it was 30 dollars at the time. Its a nice case. Fairly simple and gets the job done. Duel side panels and ability to hide cables are a nice touch for a sub 50 dollar case. Very lightweight, tool-less design works and front led fan is a nice cheap after affect for those wanting a little eye candy.

Cons: Don't expect any air movement from the default fans. As you may expect, the front fan is merely eye candy. It does not move any air. The same goes for the back fan. Both run at a meager 800 rpms. For sake of argument, I put a piece for paper on the front of my case and the front fan was not able to hold it at all. I placed the same thin sheet on the back and could not see any determinable movement from the paper. It kinda comes with the territory for a case this cheap. I put in a Coolermaster R4-L2R-20CG-GP 120mm fan for the back and it made a big difference. This case is a bit small on width though will fit most cpu heatsinks if just barely. you will really need good airflow in your case. Be sure to read on widths of possible heatsinks to not have conflict in size.

Overall Review: I'm on a: AMD Phenom IIx4 3.2 ghz 955 Gigabyte ud3 motherboard 2x2 gigs Gskill ddr3 1333 ram EVGA gtx 460 768mb Antec Kuhor Heatsink Western Digital 7200 rpm 32mb 500 gb hd Before putting in the new back fan, my computer temps were 33C for the cpu, 29C for gpu (60% fan speed), hd at 31C and main case temp of 33C. If I ran prime 95, my cpu temps would slowly rise up to 58C. I was alarmed so took side of case off and ran again. CPU temp went to 47C and stayed even after running prime 95 for 5 hrs. After concluding airflow was a issue and putting in the coolermaster 120mm fan, I ran prime95 again. Max temp of CPU sat at 49C after 5 hrs. This is all with a room temp of 78F. I hope this helps anyone in their decision on this case or possible heat problems afterward. Your getting what you pay for so don't be surprised if things are not perfect.

I'm the Guinea Pig10/18/2010 9:54:59 PM

Pros: This Heatsink comes with alot of backplates, screws, small wrench, and thermal paste. The design works well for keeping heat out of case and having lots of room by ram. Installation is pretty simple if you are not a rookie to pc building.

Cons: Avoid the thermal paste. I have artic silver but wanted to see how the default did. Immediately I realized the thermal paste is horrible. It came out the dispensor like chewed up bubble gum and had a extremely sticky feeling to it. Infact, I could not spread it or move it without the whole amount latching on to my spreader and all of it coming off the cpu. Next, the 8 picture guide is simple and does well for Intel base systems but if you are new to AMD expect a small shock. You get no pictures demonstrating how to install the heatsink on a AMD motherboard. I came from years of intel builds and it took me a minute to understand that I was suppose to remove the default AM3 front plate and use the backplate on my Gigabyte board for the heatsink. A small picture diagram for AMd would clean up alot of confusion there.

Overall Review: I never got to test the AMD default heatsink so I can only report what my system has. I idle at at 35C and max at 50C(Primed for 7 hrs). Both temps seem well within boundaries and nice and cool.

Does the Job but with wrinkles10/18/2010 9:36:59 PM

Pros: I bought this motherboard because at the time it was 69.99 on a newegg sale and I've had 2 good gigabyte motherboards in the past. The board gets the job done in basic setup. Had no problems setting up my sata hd, dvd drive, and ram. I have a very simple setup so not trying to push things. Motherboard does a great job for me.

Cons: As many reviewers of this motherboard will tell you, there is some weird things going on with the northside bridge temp sensor. Mine sits at 79C which seems to be around the same as others. I, like everyone else, thought maybe something was wrong. I do not have northside bridge heatsinks laying around so decided to take another approach. I dropped my room temp from 75F to 45F using house, window unit, and portable roller AC. Temps of gpu and cpu dropped from 33C/30C to 25C/24C yet the other sensor stayed at 79C. Even ran prime95 for 2 days and it still sat at 79C. Personally I think whatever that sensor they have their is a lost cause or is getting a major false positive. Be mindful of this too. If you do have a problem, it will be hard to detect if its faulty sensor or lack of cooling. Outside of that, I've not had any problems. I don't run raid nor do I overclock my cpu so I cannot vouch what issues a person might face there.

Overall Review: I'm running a Phenom iix4 3.4 ghz 965 Deneb Gskill 2x2 DDR3 1333 ram Evga GTX 460 768mb Superclock (750/1520/1800) Western Digital 7200rpm 32mb cache 500gb hd Antec Neo 620 watt psu Rosewill Blackbone Case Antec Kuhor Heatsink Hanns-g 19in Monitor at 1440x900 resolution Other Thoughts: F audio plug is still in a bad position being under the cpu heatsink and to the left. Also, no system fan plug on left side of the board so expect to either hook to psu or run cable around case for your exhaust fans.

Great Card and Small10/18/2010 4:11:38 PM

Pros: Price to performance is amazing. I game at 1440x900 and 1366x768. At these resolutions, this card just blast performance. I upgraded from a BFG GTS 250 1 gb to this card. Vantage score went from 7500 to 12640 with a small overclock to 760 core clock. Furmark 1.8.2 gave a 4989 points on its benchmark test, css stress test was 501 fps, and the Heaven on default settings scored a 1099. I get a idle temp of 29C with 60% fanspeed

Cons: Got it with free shipping. Don't turn fan to max. EVGA precision states 100% fan speed is 5000rpm. Its literally like a small tornado is going off in your room. I get 29C idle and 51C at 65% fan speed.

Overall Review: Nvidia has just released the 260 drivers. I am downloading as we speak so I'm expecting a small increase in fps base on the statements of nvidia. All benchmarks above were on 258.96 drivers at 1440x900 resolution. My new rig is a Phenom iix4 3.2 ghz (955) deneb, G-skill 4 gig ram, gigabyte mobo, 500 gb WD 7200 rpm HD, Antec kuhor heatsink all inside a Rosewill Blackbone case with Windows 7 Enterprise Highly recommend the GTS 460 768mb to anyone who games from 1650x1080 resolutions downwards. Its the perfect companion for your 15, 17,19, and 20 inch monitors.

3rd year and still going strong.2/22/2010 9:58:16 AM

Pros: Got this in a package deal with a old motherboard years ago. Didn't trust the name brand of the power supply but still used it. Has not quit on me yet.

Cons: Fan screws slowly became loose over the years causing me to have to take the power supply out and tighten the screws. Cords unsheathed but I that was expected.

3 year Owner and still going strong2/22/2010 9:37:24 AM

Pros: After 3 years, fans are still working nicely. Does a nice job of circulating air. The screw-less design works well and if you find fault can always be switched with a normal screw design.

Cons: Price has gone up. Bought this 3 years back for 29.99 and free shipping from newegg. No side fan for the side wall fan opening. Mesh front accumulates dust pretty fast so keep the air in your computer room clean.

Good power supply7/30/2009 8:57:39 PM

Pros: I've now had this power supply for 2 years. It has treated me well and has not caused any problems for me. Installed really easy and all wires are long and reach everything in my case.

Cons: Firstly, when I bought this power supply I never knew the company. All the box says is Okia. I assumed it was the name brand for the longest until newegg changed power supply name to Broadway. Next, This is a cheaper power supply. You must always consider what you are actually plugging into it. I do not really trust putting alot of devices on the power supply. Always in the back of my mind I wonder if this power supply will go out on me. I guess it comes with going cheaper. (4 eggs here)

Overall Review: Gigabyte mobo Ep43-.... E7400 oc to 3.153 ghz 2 gigs Kingston max ddr2 800 ram Asus 9600 gso on 1 6 pin connector Lite-on cd drive 250 gb hardrive 4 fans ranging from 80-120mm (I keep the bare minimum to be safe) I would not try to sli or use a vid card that needs 2 6 pin connectors. Something just seems that it could overload the system regardless of what the power supply says it can handle. I think the biggest problem people don't consider is the amperage needed for their devices esp vid cards. The first generation of newer vid cards are beastly. I was considering getting a 9800 gtx until I looked at the power requirements. I've now waited for GTS 200 to drop which require way less and give the same or better performance.

Nice for netbooks6/1/2009 4:11:53 PM

Pros: Works well in my Asus eee pc 900 netbook. Usb adapter is nice when moving files to my main desktop. Good price for a adapter and class 6 card

Nice cheap case5/30/2009 4:43:25 PM

Pros: Works well with my Asus eeepc 900. Little extra room but that is expected as my netbook is only 8.9 inches.

Cons: Price is close to same everywhere once you add shipping.

Overall Review: Was complicating buying this off newegg but once I added shipping it was the same as the ones at my nearest computer part store but theirs was "on sale" lol. I kept the sheet of cardboard in mine to give it better support.

Works like a champ2/3/2009 10:39:39 PM

Pros: Have a pent d 2.8 ghz and this baby dropped my temps from 42C no load 65 load to 33 no load 42 load. Fan is huge and pushes air nicely to the back of the computer.

Cons: It uses the special push in clips. If you know how to install them its cake but inexperienced folks may be in for a horror fest when installing the clamps. I've stated how I installed mine and hopefully it helps for everyone else.

Overall Review: Here's how I installed the heatsink. Get clamps in unlock position. Make sure the black piece on the inside of the white clamps is not visible on any of the 4 clamps. Gently place the device onto your mobo. Lightly jiggle the heatsink left and right until all the clamps fall into the designated holes. If you do not get them in before trying to push the clamp down then then they can break which is probably why there are those 1 egg reviews on this product. You will be able to feel when each clamp drops into the designated hole. After that, push the clamp down. You will hear a pop sound and afterward turn device in the direction on top each clamp. Its worked for me and I've had to take it off 7-8 times now.

Reviews are off1/29/2009 11:44:25 PM

Pros: Had for 2 years now. Have a pent D 820 2.8 ghz oced to 3.4 ghz. Everything works fine. Updating bios is pretty tedious as you need to either make a dos boot flashdrive of use a floppy drive.

Cons: Guys do your research. This mobo does not support the e7400. It supports 64nm/90nm manufact tech and only the e4200, e6300, e6400, e6600 and e6700 core 2 duo's.

Overall Review: Good cheap mobo. Sli isn't good as its only pci express x8 on the sli slots and x16 on the other pci express slot. Ok overclocking and after bios update it.

Good cheap mobo11/9/2008 6:30:38 PM

Pros: Have had this mobo for over 2 years. Went with a risk of a company that I didn't know. Motherboard has proven itself as a reliable device. as mentioned the mobo does not have the best over clocking though the bias does give alot of options. Definitely not meant for sli as sli is capable. No reason for a bridge if you go Nvidia as it can handle it through software now.

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Still cheap. Can handle Processors up to core 2 duo Wolfdale 2.8 ghz (e7400) though I still have a Pent D 2.8 ghz in mine. Mobo has pc beeped perfectly when there was a problem in install when components were not connected correctly. I acquired the motherboard in my first attempts at pc building and am very satisfied in the durability of the device. Payed 80 dollars for the motherboard and 2 years+ is good enough for me to give it 4 eggs. works well but requirements are off9/3/2008 5:39:23 AM

Pros: Card works well as a usb tuner. Size fits well in usb slot and even comes with a usb extender cable. Software was easy to use and works well and if you position the tuner correctly using the remote works well.

Cons: Biggest problem i had was that the requirements for the tuner are not correct. I planned on using the tuner on a pent 4 2.8ghz, 1 gig ram radeon 9000 laptop i had laying around. The laptop met all requirements but when trying to watch anything with the card the video ran around 2 frames ever 4 seconds. Even trying other software programs for the tuner or changing settings it still ran slowly. I switched and put the usb tuner in my desktop with a pent d 2.8 ghz, 2 gigs ram and 9600 gso and it ran smoothly.

Overall Review: Pretty good tuner. Make sure you have a computer well over the requirements and it will run smoothly for you.

if you recieve alot of digital channels your good8/20/2008 1:54:27 PM

Pros: Device itself worked well. Software was very easy to use.

Cons: As stated antenna is not good but I used my own and picked up all the digital stations. Prob I had was it all digital stations were blocked when I ran through COX network. Doesn't pick up analog stations as stated as its only for digital Only got 5 of the 25 digital stations available.

Overall Review: Device is good base on location. If you recieve alot of digital channels then your good. If not look elsewhere. I had to RMA mine. Really just looking for a usb tuner to use in my dorm and this one isn't working with cable provider.

Rebate is real7/28/2008 6:27:02 PM

Pros: Wanted to let everyone know that Asus does follow there rebate policies. Took me about a month but I finally received my rebate. They first sent me a email saying that my rebate had been received and anytime after that I could go check status-now.com on the status of my rebate. Just make sure you follow every step on the rebate page.

Cons: none

Overall Review: Games i've played so far are BCFX(unreal 3 engine football game), Titan Quest Immortal Throne, Grid, Sins of a Solar Empire, Guitar Hero 3, Counterstrike Source, and Supreme Commander without seeing any video caused lag on high graphic settings.

Good mid range card6/23/2008 5:54:16 PM

Pros: Like the reviewer before I also had a 8500 gt. I only did a 3dmark on it but with 05 version and got a 5060 marks. After putting this 9600 gso in it went to 10,000 marks

Cons: Kinda chunky and that big fan will probably cover over whatever slow you have under the pci express 16/2.0 slot you have.

Overall Review: Gaming wise I have seen jumps of 50 fps in css going from 35/40 in game to 75/95 in a 30+ server. On grid I put the settings on high setup. which included 4x anti-aliasing and do not see any lag. Tried out supreme commander on high and did not see any lag until 1 hr in a 8 player game. Be sure to get the newest nvidia forceware drivers. Drivers on cd given worked fine but caused computer to slow down some. Windows Xp, Pentd 3.0ghz, 2 gigs ram 4-4-4-12, 250 gb seagate 7300 rpm

Good cheap priced processor12/1/2007 10:14:44 PM

Pros: Bought this processor 6 months ago as I made a 600 dollar computer rig. Really enjoy it. Coming from a pent d this dual core processor is amazing. Processor can easily keep up with any new game that has come out.

Cons: Be aware. Pent d can get hot. I firstly bought this the stock fan with the processor was ah man was that a mistake lol. 49C idle 70-75C under load. Pent d highest should be around 69C. Went and got a artic cooler 6 heatpipe heatsink and bam idle at 38c max 51C so i'm happy

Overall Review: Really good processor when have to be on a budget.

Really good and cheap heatsink11/29/2007 10:52:07 PM

Pros: Really nice heatsink. I have a pent d 2.8 ghz processor in a coolmaster centurion 5 case and with the stock heatsink I was getting 48c idle/ 69c full. After mounting this heatsink my temps went to 36c idle 52c full load. For the price, this heatsink can't be beat. It looks very big but the weight is very very light. Not to much heavier then the stock heatsink that came with my pent d.

Cons: mounting this mounster was a little hassle. firstly the lga 775 mount was not connected to the copper indention so had to push the metal piece into place. Also the girth of the heatsink made it a bit difficult of fastening the push nobs into place

Overall Review: Very good heatsink. Highly recommend. The 1000 plus reviews should give you a hint lol.
