Completely Underrated Cooling Solution at bargain price

EVERCOOL HPFA-10025 100mm Ever Lubricate CPU Cooler (Buffalo for AMD)
EVERCOOL HPFA-10025 100mm Ever Lubricate CPU Cooler (Buffalo for AMD)

Pros: Stock Heatsink/Fan combo that came with by 7750 Black Edition AMD Processor was annoyingly loud when spinning at max RPMs (usually during gaming) and refused to spin down to bearable levels after gaming. After a week of my PC sounding like a jet engine, did some research and came across this wonderful product. I was wondering why it was so cheap and if it could really cool my 7750 as they tend to run hot. After reading about 15 reviews I took the plunge and I should have not waited this long! Idle temps dropped from 56 degrees Celsius to 46. And this is is WHISPER quiet compared to the stock AMD unit. Installation was a breeze and the piece is sturdy and well built. My PC is MUCH MUCH quieter now under load. Don't hesitate. For 15 bucks it can't be beat! It even dropped the temps of my 4870 a little!

Cons: Only small con is that despite it's relatively small form factor, the heatsink fins rest against the tall heat spreaders on my ram. I'll keep and eye on this but I don't see it causing any issues. Just something to be aware of.

Overall Review: Do your research but if you're looking for a phenomenally priced cooling solution for a moderate gaming PC, this card has you covered. PC components: - 7750 KUMA Black Edition Dual core 2.7 - XFX 4870 1GB - 4 GB OCZ Reaper - 550w BFG PSU (another awesome piece for the money)

Yup, It's that good!

SAMSUNG 840 Pro Series 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7PD128BW

Pros: Light and tiny, looks like a quality piece, windows 7 boot up in less than 20 seconds. fantastic

Cons: A tad pricey, but thus far, worth every penny

Overall Review: The most worthwhile upgrade you will make to your PC.

ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Motherboard performed as expected. Posted immediately, looks classy in my case, bios is a breeze to navigate. A+

Cons: No front side USB 3.0 (I knew that going in), does not come set default to AHCI (knew that also), unorthodox size leaves some free hanging space, and plastic shrouding on the north/southbridge towers easy to miss (knew about all of these)

Overall Review: Fantastic price for what so far seems to be a quality board. I was worried after reading all the issues here but I had no reason to be. Detected my 1090t BE, DDR3 ram and videocard right away. No muss no fuss. Very satisfied thus far.

Futureproof at an affordable price

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition - Phenom II X6 Thuban 6-Core 3.2 GHz Socket AM3 125W Desktop Processor - HDT90ZFBGRBOX
AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition - Phenom II X6 Thuban 6-Core 3.2 GHz Socket AM3 125W Desktop Processor - HDT90ZFBGRBOX

Pros: Bang for the buck that cannot be beat. Installation is painless. Should keep the old box humming contentedly for at least another year. Upgraded from my old 7750 Athlon Black Edition. Machine booted right up after a simple bios update to recognize the CPU. Running Zune software, photoshop, netflix streaming, and Mass Effect 2 all at once, didn't skip a beat. I think I'm in love!

Cons: Stock heatsink fan is jet engine loud. Don't bother with it. I'm using the evercool buffalo CPU cooler. Not the quietest but much quieter than stock cooling and at $20, it's a steal. Been using it for over a year now with no problems.

Overall Review: I'm a fairly novice guy when it comes to these things, but updating the motherboard bios with ASUS supplied ultility was a snap. I just went to the ASUS website, found my mobo model, downloaded most recent bios onto flash drive, rant the utility right out of XP and pointed it at the flash drive. Update done.

Superb Value for Money!

XFX Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card HD-487A-ZHFC
XFX Radeon HD 4870 1GB GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card HD-487A-ZHFC

Pros: This card can't be beat at $150 price point. Rock sold frame rates in COD4, Mass Effect and Fallout 3. I've always bought NVIDIA cards and loved them but after doing extensive research (Between this and GTX 260), I bought this due to price and packaged bundle. Runs great out the box. Can't complain at all

Cons: Not really a con as it's been noted a million times but this card is not small. Had to move my hard drive to make room for it in my case but even for someone like me who is only moderately computer savvy had no problem installing it.

Overall Review: Do your research but if you buy this card, you won't be dissapointed.

Excellent Power Supply

BFG Tech GS-550 550 W ATX12V V2.2 / EPS12V V2.8 SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Power Supply

Pros: A quality piece. Case is so pretty with slick looking finish. Braided cables keep things neat inside the case and best of all, it's SUPER quiet. Large fan moves lots of air in near silence.

Cons: That I waited so long to buy it.

Overall Review: If you're not looking to power some monstrous Sli setup and have a decently powerful single card solution, don't hesitate!
