Comments: This DVD drive is an excellent value. Installation was a snap. Firmware upgrade and other updates were easy to find at the benq website and easy to install. Not sure the firmware upgrade was necessary, but there must be some advantage to it. Drive performs smoothly and write speeds are very good. No coasters so far and I'm just using cheap media. Nero software supplied with drive is sufficient, but you'll probably want to download the updates from the Nero website. I've only had the drive for a few days, but I'm impressed. I can't comment on the long term performance or reliability of this drive -- won't know for a few months.
