Great RAM
Pros: Great value, runs perfectly at rated 2400MHz XMP profile @1T command rate (not many DDR4 models can do that), The heat spreaders look nice.
Cons: DDR4 is still selling at a premium over DDR3, but prices are getting better.
Overall Review: Highly recommended
Form over function
Pros: It looks nice and operates well, has a remote
Cons: bass is bloated, no treble to speak of, and has some syncing issues
Overall Review: It looks nice and once it does sync it operates well, but the sound isn't the greatest, with loose, bloated bass and virtually no audio at all over 7kHz. Also, sometimes it'll reconnect with your device when you turn it on, and sometimes it won't. So if you don't mind occasional fiddling and just want something that looks nice for playing low background music, I guess it's fine.
Great SSD
Pros: Great SSD, very fast and well supported, runs cool, migration software was included.
Cons: none
Overall Review: Best value in SSDs right now.
What a value! Quickly, get `em before they're gone.
Pros: Tight, impactful bass, smooth highs, and excellent clarity. Shockingly good value @$8. Buy these.
Cons: Slightly recessed mids, but not too noticeable. Highs are a little rolled off, but again, most won't notice.
Overall Review: $8? Are you kidding me? These are better than most other IEMs that cost 5-6x more.
Outstanding Blu-ray player!
Pros: I don't get excited about electronics, stuff either works or it doesn't. Well, this player works, and it works so well that I'm excited. It's just an amazing piece of hardware. 1. Plays everything I throw at it; all discs, files from network drives, USB media, you name it. 2. Great Netflix support with real menus, not just things that are in the instant play queue. You can actually navigate and search Netflix and find something to watch. 3. Fast startup times for discs and network play. 4. Excellent video quality. Even low quality Avi files look decent when scaled to 1080P and DVDs are the best I've seen. Of course, BD playback is stellar. 5. The unit feels like a top quality component, and it's very quiet. Also, the remote is very good, not some cheap piece of junk. 6. Built-in WiFi out of the box and it's pretty fast. I've done everything without ethernet and not had any hiccups.
Cons: 1. Updates are a b*tch. Going to the newest firmware took over an hour. If you want to do it, just set it to start and go to bed. That's about it.
Overall Review: Got it for $169 w/ FS. You can't beat that for what this player can do. It's an amazing deal. You find it for that price, you buy it. No questions.
Best of the "low end" GTX 260s
Pros: - Factory overclock that runs like a charm. - Even more room for overclocking, mine runs stable @ 720MHz core, 1550 shader, 2450 memory. - GPU cooler is very effective, even under Furmark torture test. I've never seen temps over 75C. - Unless GPU fan goes over 75% I can't hear it at all. - When I bought it it was $145 after $20 MiR, that's a great deal. - Everything screams @ 1680x1050, at max OC performs identically to a stock GTX 275 or 280
Cons: - See that disk that driver/utility disk MSI ships with the card? Take it out of the sleeve, walk to the trash can, and chuck it in. (Keep the sleeve, it's much more valuable than the disk) - Ugly card, but my case doesn't have a window so I don't care. - No Molex to PCI-E adapter included. I had an extra so that didn't bother me.
Overall Review: Despite some of the negative (and questionable) comments left by the reviewers on Newegg I bought this card, and I have to say it's been an amazing upgrade from an 8800GT. I've been installing PC hardware for >20 years and it's rare when I'm pleasantly surprised, but in this case I am. Just make sure and download the newest Nvidia drivers, and pickup something like Rivat**er if you want to overclock further.
