Pros: Nice build quality, the aluminum housing helps dissipate heat. I appreciate the inclusion of the screw driver for assembly. I rarely write reviews, but chose to make an exception because of my experience with Nippon Labs. The unit failed after 4 months (See Cons). I called customer service and was asked to provide proof of purchase and a description of the failure. My documentation was reviewed in one day and my replacement with tracking information was shipped the following day. Thanks for setting a high standard of customer service :)

Cons: After 4 months, every computer I plugged this unit into reported an over-current condition on the USB port. I removed the hard drive and it tested good and all of my data was intact. I considered giving 5 eggs because of the excellent customer service I experienced. But in the end, I withheld 1 egg because the unit failed. It can happen to the best, but what matters most is what happens next. The customer support staff at Nippon Labs treated me as a valued customer. That's as good as it gets!

Pros: Good quality (see cons comment) and price. Quiet with PWM fan control.

Cons: Unit has defective part in mounting kit which renders the unit useless. I have emailed support and have received no response. This is disappointing. It makes me wonder about the company's business ethics.

Overall Review: I will decide whether or not to purchase products from this manufacturer in the future based on their customer support. I will update this review if I am contacted by customer support and they resolve the defective part issue.

Overall Review: Unit failed after 11 months of reliable, continuous service. I called tech support and they immediately informed me of a known issue with the external power supply pack. They shipped the replacement 2nd day and then called me!!! to make sure the part resolved the problem. This is a standard of service that is hard to beat!
