Interesting KVM, works well so far

LINKSKEY LKV-248AUSK 4-Port Desktop USB + PS/2 KVM Switch w/ Audio & Mic
LINKSKEY LKV-248AUSK 4-Port Desktop USB + PS/2 KVM Switch w/ Audio & Mic

Pros: Here's why I bought this KVM. First, I have a PS/2 keyboard and USB mouse. Finding a KVM that handles that combination is difficult. This one handles it flawlessly. This switch has audio/mic switching, too. You can selectively bind whether you want that to switch as well. This is nice customization because if you've got some tunes streaming in on PC #1 you might want that to keep going when you switch. It comes with all the cables, which I appreciated.

Cons: I've only really had one issue. With the USB cable plugged in (really just for the mouse) I can't force it to install Windows. When I put the Windows bootup CD it will not register a key press during the short window of "Press any key to boot to CD". Oddly enough, it does recognize a press to enter BIOS setup, which is before this. Not sure why this is. This might fix without the USB cables, but I ran out of time to try. The KVM will not handle 1280x1024, but I'm not sure there is one that will. I think this is a limitation of the KVM world, especially without spending loads of money.

Overall Review: There are a few things to take note of... 1. If you use, as I did, a PS/2 keyboard and USB mouse you must set the binding to switch USB with the PC selection. Then when you switch to computer 3, it will switch the mouse with it. 2. If you use a PS/2 keyboard you can use EITHER the USB cable or the PS/2 cable included with the kit. I actually plugged them all in at the same time. So far, so good. 3. The hotkeys (ScrlLck + ScrlLck + etc) only work with a PS/2 keyboard, so keep that in mind. So far it's a good product, and I'm enjoying it.

The best virtualization software for running another OS

VMware Fusion (Old Version)
VMware Fusion (Old Version)

Pros: VMWare Fusion is fantastic. I've installed various Operating Systems to include Windows XP, gOS (the so-called Google OS), various flavors of Ubuntu and so on. They all easily install directly from the downloaded .iso file saving me a disc burning process.

Cons: I can't find any. It works so well.

Overall Review: I'm looking forward to the new 2.0 version, which will be free to current users.

Works fine for me

G.SKILL Value 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory Model F1-3200PHU2-2GBNT
G.SKILL Value 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory Model F1-3200PHU2-2GBNT

Pros: I ordered this memory based on the price, essentially. I unplugged my computer, opened the case, took out the old memory, installed this memory, booted it up, and it works fine. That's the deal, it works fine. I use serious samurize to keep track of available memory and it hovers around 1.2GB free, so I know there's a good amount there.

Cons: I can't see any cons at all, thus far. I've not experienced any of the random reboots or problems others have.

Overall Review: If I'm feeling adventurous, I might set up Microsoft Memory Tester (a free ISO download that writes a bootable CD, use something like Burnaware Free Edition to burn it) and let it run the extended tests. I suspect it will be fine without me even having to do that, though.
