Another happy gig.
Pros: Went in well. Had no problem. Works perfectly.
Cons: Gosh, I sure hope no one looks in my box and sees "VALUE" RAM instead of, um, er FANCY(?) RAM. How embarassing that would be. :-) hehe
Integrated Audio Relief
Pros: This card went in easily and installed without problem. What a refreshingly easy hardware upgrade!
Cons: I waited so long to get this.
A pleasure to install.
Pros: It had been a few years since I'd installed a sound card. I still have some bad memories of trying to get SB live! cards working in some boxes. I'm happy to say this Audigy card went in and installed quickly and easily. No conflicts. No fuss. I'd been playing Rise of Legends a lot lately and had some glitches with the integrated audio. This upgrade fixed the problem. I'm happy.
Cons: The card installed easy. Almost too easy? Dum dum dummmmm
Overall Review: No more integrated audio for me please.
Why buy 1 when you can buy 4?
Pros: Went in well and worked without problem. I splurged and bought 4 of these and am enjoying a maxed out 4gig in my C521. Smooth sailing so far!
Cons: What am I going to do with my 2 old 512MB sticks? hehe :-)
Overall Review: Great RAM. Great price. Great seller.
3 weeks and going strong
Pros: A great improvement over the integraged graphics I'd been using. Straightforward installation of card and drivers. All went smoothly.
Cons: After installing the card there were some problems with the computer not "waking up" out of "hibernate" mode. This seems to be something with the pcie port...probably not the card.
Overall Review: It would have been nice to have a low-profile bracket provided with the low-profile card.
Brings new life to older machine
Pros: Works quietly and flawlessly. I was upgrading from an older 5200fx or something like that. This new card shows 10x better performance than the old card using 3d benchmark. More importantly, Rise of Legends is MUCH smoother now. The kids even mention Sims2 plays better as well. Installed easily without problem.
Cons: That heat sink feels scary hot.
Overall Review: I don't know how much longer these AGP cards will be around. It's sure nice to find one that will give me another year or two of life from the P4 machine.
